Seeing you explore GMod maps truly is one of the most relaxing things ever. You're so calm and your commentary is on point. Sometimes, to me, your videos feel like a sleepover with your friend where you both are playing Call of Duty on a Xbox 360 at 2AM and instead of killing each other you just explore the maps and talk about life and stuff. I don't know, this might seem weird and really specific to some people but some of his GMod videos bring me that sort of feeling.
@PhoenixtheWanderer9 ай бұрын
Nah, it's not weird. I know that feeling, me and my best friend of 1.5 decades would just join Minecraft worlds or Gmod maps and just explore like kids exploring the woods. It's nostalgia, that hit of child-like wonder and deep reflection to look back fondly.

Voidspaces was trying to masquerade as tons of different places - a lodge, an office, a pool, a plaza, an apartment complex. It at least tried to lull in victims with a false sense of familiarity. Voidplaces seems to be more actively malicious towards its occupants in that it isn't trying to be *anything*, it's not trying to make sense to anybody, it's just empty rooms in an infinitely tall building. The map using 100% original assets is seriously impressive. Pink Black's done it again!

THEORY: (Spoilers kinda for voidmall) So, in the comments of the nowhere mall video, PB stated that Nowie(My nickname for the nowhere mall mascot) was a past explorer. Her theme is pink, that specific pink that appeared here. The stuff she used to interact with you was pink. What are you interacting with here? Pink vending machines. So, perhaps the pink represents past explorers trying to help you through these spaces. Maybe the cardboard cutouts that scared Librarian are a representation of a past explorer like the Nowie cutout was. Also, remember how the psa said "nothing is in the sky, that is not the sun"? And there was a door that had sky goop leaking out of it? Maybe something stole the sky and started stashing it in some of these voidplaces. That's a more farfetched theory, but hey, I'm vibing. PinkBlack, if you're reading this, your work is amazing! I can't wait to see more! Super interested in the story so far.

8:45 You ever tried using the paint tool to mark out doors you've opened and been through? The menu for that thing does has X and O markers (typically for tic-tac-to). I tend use an X for a dead end or non-functional door, O for somewhere I've been through, and the two overlapped for a path that I'm mostly certain I've explored fully (or somewhere I just don't want to go into for some reason). Mostly been using that for these specific maps because I know the map creator has in the past had doors open and close on their own. At any rate, even just one of the two markers would better help figure out where you have and have not been. Should be useful for more open maps like this one.

Not quite as good in that it wouldn't emit light (unless someone has somehow made glow-in-the-dark paint in Gmod) but with the added benefit of letting you get a bit more creative and detailed in how you designate and delineate bits of the map, while still being an easy single-handed single-use tool (unlike the "create light" function of the Physgun)

My pet peeve is whenever spooky content talks about non-euclidean geometries it makes me very pissy because EVRRYTHING IS NON-EUCKIDEAN Non-Euclidean means geometry made on a curved/non-straight surface GUESS WHAT SHAOE OUR PLANET IS I know its the dumbest shit to get midly annoyed by, but i just instantly get reminded of the fact ALL our architecture irl is non-euclidean and what people ACTUALLY means is "Alien Geomtries"
@theuncalledfor9 ай бұрын
So you get angry because you don't _actually_ understand what non-euclidean geometry is. It's geometry in a curved _space._ Not on a curved surface like a planet. Additionally, that's only its strict mathematical definition, and it's honestly kind of a stupid definition. Euclidean space already has a definition of its own, and non-euclidean space should just be defined as "everything that's not that". And guess what. Weirdly connected spaces like what is commonly shown as "non-euclidean" in media don't fit the definition of euclidean space. The space of our universe is euclidean, as far as we can tell. Only spacetime is curved by gravity, not the purely spatial part of it. if space itself is non-euclidean, then the curvature is so minimal as to me impossible to measure with current means. Someone made a game that showcases what spherical space actually looks like. It's called Hyperbolica. Most of the game takes place in hyperbolic space (the other type of non-euclidean space), but there's one room that's the opposite. It looks _nothing_ like a planet.
