*Update 2020* Added some screen shots in case the video went to quick during the parts with the clips. Link below.
Anyone who owns a Dell T7400 or similar system may have encountered an error that says: Alert! Chipset heat sink not detected. System Halted!
If you have experienced this error you most likely cannot boot your PC past that screen. I recorded what I did to fix my PC and where the most likely cause of this error is located on your motherboard.

Those who say they don't understand. The mother board has a "U" shaped metal clip that goes through it. Sticks out both ends. One side is soldered at each tip. The other side is the rounded U shape. The computer knows that the clip is no longer soldered when it falls out. This is why you get the error. The U shaped clip is supposed to hold the metal leg from the heat sink down, closer to the board (for tension). For each heat sink that has these clips, they come in pairs...one on each side. Having one on each side gives the heat sink a firm connection to the chip it is trying to cool. When the clips become loose or fall out, the computer halts start up because it is trying to protect itself from over heating. The remedy is to find the clip and solder it back into place. Reinforce it however you can. Your computer should work once it detects the clip is replaced.
