Did you have any issues communicating with anyone during the cell network outage?

@@ThrelkeldOutdoors none we talked about it there were a few area that were totally out! Its so awesome its like having a group of good guys spread out all over my area; real news, real talk. One of my repeaters is some official stuff, Monday night NET meeting and meet ups to eat, we also do volunteer work. Honestly this little unit is good enough for everything, 25 watts goes everywhere my 50 watt does and in some ways I like the screen better.

@lsherman856 I not a fan I would get a stubby or smaller VHF antenna, maybe 8 inches long. But it does work well....maybe I would stick with this one. Visit their site they are very helpful, the radio is the number one component when it comes to a Mobile and this is definitely a winner. I was in the middle of the mountains and I still reached my repeaters, I was 1 hour in the MOUNTAINS!
