Just got The Stormtrooper version for $750 New from Spain and very impressed. The lume dial is fantastic and love the True GMT movement. I put an Erika MN black with a white stripe strap and looks sharp. The quality is exceptional.

I'd go with the Bulova. It's cheaper, the dial is more interesting, and the movement is the Miyota 9075.

I have the Seiko and rated it highly, superb watch ...I think maybe maybe my favourite Seiko ... but I am really keen to pick up the Bulova after this comparison, I wasn't expecting it to stack up quite so well. That full lume dial is lovely, and love the black and white contrast. Nice video cheers.

I have purchased the Stormtrooper (Black & White) Bulova Oceanographer GMT like the one you reviewed, and it is outstanding, and I like it as well or better than my Seiko GMT. The Bulova keeps great time and wears very well and feels more robust and I prefer it for my actual swimming or diving.

I collect Seiko divers, my favorite watch being the Uemara edition of the 6105 re-issue, but, in this case, I opted for the Bulova just as the one shown here. Only paid $718 (not counting tax) though. Shop around, or wait a few months.

Caller GMTs are much easier if you have a date complication because it comes with a quickset date. The downside (i think) of the traveller gmt is if you ever let your watch stop running for a period of time, it is annoyingly time consuming to set that date since you have to run that hour hand through midnight for each and every day you need to change.
@GoalSquad6665 ай бұрын
I find it quite entertaining the moaning of people when they have to set date/time on their automatic or manual wind watches. I own both type of GMTs and never found it an issue to set it. It makes no difference of setting it on either and takes the same amount of time.
@ryangochuico5 ай бұрын
@@GoalSquad666 setting a traveller gmt 15 days forward or back takes longer than setting a caller gmt the same amount of days. It's tedious but didn't stop me from buying one 😄

I like Seikos, but every time I look for one, I decide for different brands, especially because I shop just used. I looked for a Quartz Chronograph last year, and instead of Citizen or Seiko I got myself a Tag Heuer. I looked for an automatic GMT watch just recently, and bought the Bulova, in Pepsi. The only thing I don't like on it, it's way to shiny, however I prefer it over the one in this video and I'm not a fan of the rootbeer model. My Seamaster 300 has a blue dial, and so does the Bulova - I like to wear them on the blue Nato strap I bought for the Omega. The bracelet on the Bulova feels nice when wearing it, however it feels kinda cheap to the touch and is a bit rattily.

The Bulova is great but has Quality Control problems. I have just received two, one for me and one for my wife. One is perfect and so nice. The other one (mine obviously ) has such a way off bezel alignment that it's worse than a low end Seiko. I'm in the process of returning the wonky one in exchange for a good one hopefully. No big deal but all website images show a white seconds hand but it's gun metal on the real watch.
