When Gene talks about bringing in new designers, i'm really glad that GMT does this. I had this silly idea for a Mars COIN game and Volko, Jason and Gene all thought it sounded like it could work. And all of these discussions happened before there was a 3 minute board games. It's amazing that since we first talked about progressing to the GMT500 and getting this game going, i started the channel and got myself an audience to bring with me. If they had shut the door on this random kiwi who had a fan mod mars game about COIN, no one would have heard of it again. But because Gene gave it the green light, for a nobody first time designer from the other side of the world, its gonna be reality real soon. So thanks from me for taking those chances on new talent.

Great video. I have had some great customer service experiences with GMT, have enjoyed many GMT games, and was also a beneficiary of a couple of free games during COVID when I was really struggling. I can not express my respect and gratitude towards Gene and the whole company for having such a positive impact on my life. I'm a fan, I will be a lifelong customer, and in some ways I like to think I am a friend. I love all of you.

Wow, what a great interview. So much goodness there. You guys rock!!! "Win wins"... that's what it's all about!!! Also, your P500 model is wickedly successful with me personally, which in turn is successful for you. Win win.

I'm sure I'm not unique in this, but I'm a big GMT fan originally because of Twilight Struggle (on Steam!). Once I figured that out, slowly but surely I discovered other games (especially the COIN series, which is an insta-buy now for me). GMT to me now equals quality, fun, interesting games. And I love that I can chat with folks like Joe and Jason on Discord now, and share my thoughts. I like what I see as the future of GMT now, with Rachel, and Luke, and all the new designers. I used to skim the monthly newsletter; now it's a "drop everything and read it all" email every month. Such great stuff coming out of GMT, and I'm sure there'll be lots more great stuff to come. Thanks for the hours of enjoyment, Gene and everyone else at GMT!

A great company--not just for the amazing games they put out but also for their generous support of the wargaming community and the way they treat their customers and employees. Thanks to all the folks at GMT!

Great video! I always wondered who Gene really was and now I do. Who knows, maybe I'll even be brave enough to submit one of my game designs😀

great video overall! and i love the question of john regarding euro vs wargames. i play and enjoy both and from what i see in the industry , there are many hybrid designs now that are not pure euros nor wargames. and these are the games i personally prefer. i also try promoting euro style games to wargamers are wargaming style games to euros. its one hobby in the end.

Was there a May 16 email update? I did not receive one, or is this meant as a replacement?
