Had mine and daily wore it for the past 5 years. Still no scratches and the most reliable I've had to date. It's also pretty unique since everyone else had apple and smart watches. Love making fun of people at work having to take their watch off and charge on a computer.

Still wear mine weekly and sometimes daily. I’ve had it over ten years and is intrinsically accurate. About +1 in 6 months without any connection to Atomic Clock. Still looks brand new.

*The thing that I’ll say I love most about this model and other Casio analogs with chronographs is the seconds hand of the watch is an actual seconds ticker, some with multipurpose functions. Other models have their second hand ticker indicated in a small orb often at the 6 o’ clock position, making it difficult to behold. Then only in Stop Watch Mode, the obvious seconds hand is implemented. That doesn’t do it for me.*

I absolutely believe this has to be one of the most beautiful G-Shocks Casio has ever built, and although I have no intention of smacking it up against anything, I'm going to wear it proudly as a special occasion dress piece. Just gorgeous! Thank you GMF!

Just got one for a fairly cheap price in Latin America.. Blue colored instead... Model GW-A110FC-1ADR as well as a Casio Edifice ERA-300B-1AVDR which is an exceptional timepiece as well.

*_I recently found out what the Tough Movement function is in Casio G-Shocks. The watch automatically corrects the home (hand) positions of the hour, minute, and second hands (only in Home Time Mode) to ensure time accuracy. The time frame wherein this is done is from 55 mins to 5 mins, every hour. While I’m not a GW-A1100 owner, I do have a GW-3000 with this feature. Casio is the best‼️*

*_Got my hands on the GWA-1000 & 1100. I’m enamored with ‘em both, having more enamor reserved for the 1100 over the 1000. The GWA-1000 has the same functions as the 1100 except for swapping a thermometer for the compass. The dial is also dissimilar but other than that it’s the same watch. Hat tip to Casio._*

+Nathan Ricci I've disassembled and rebuilt many Casios. If the buttons on your watch are like any other G-shock then they should spin. No need to worry there.

*_Yes. I know the combination of 1A signifies all black with red accents; almost any G-Shock with 4A as its suffix, imports it’s an all red model, but sometimes the 4A is orange. Just something that I’ve learned reading the model numbers of G-Shocks._*

Casio claims 6 months time on a single solar charge, though if you are using functions on the watch and the compass would probably be considerably less. However, if you are wearing it out a lot it probably will get way more sunlight than that single charge so I don't think it'll be a problem with draining power a lot otherwise it wouldn't be as popular of a watch and Casio wouldn't have made it solar power. My guess is those moving parts don't require a lot of power at all.

As a Pilot, I want an Aviation watch that shows two time zones at the same time. Lets say one analog and one digital, with a third on standby that you can swap. I use UTC all day long at work, thats the analog. The the time where I am in the world, so I dont miss happy hour. Then Local time at Home, so I know if I can call my wife and not wake her up. Lastly, have the date with the day of the week. I know sounds silly, but when you are traveling to Delhi, Tokyo, London and home in a month, the day of the week gets lost. Especially when its a different day at home then where you are. Lastly a timer that vibrates the watch, that would be icing on the cake. That would be the ultimate pilots watch. I have a Fossil watch my sister bought me years ago, it does all that, minus the timer. It's hard to beat. But I'd love to see someone make a really good, modern time piece for pilot's again...

*_Not sure in this model, but in other Tough Solar Casio/G-Shock analogs, the charge level is indicated by the second hand ticker. If the sec hand ticks every second your charge is High or level 1. If the second ticker only moves every two seconds, your charge is M or level 2, on the verge of becoming low. Upon reaching Low or a level 3 charge, all hands desist moving. It will keep time internally for a week subsequent to this level drop. But if not adequately charge during this time, the module clears all time and settings._*

*_Never assume the battery is utterly dead though. In a level 3 or Low charge, sunlight in a window sill will revive these puppies. They do require extensive charging in a low state but they can if able to, attain a H charge again._*

These watches are the more top of the line although I agree they aren't on the same tier with MTG and MRG, still this is ONE OF the top line G-Shocks.

I think he meant top of the realistic line. A $1000-$3000 g shock is an extremely niche watch, however I think most affordable watch collectors would understand $500 for a feature rich innovative high quality g shock.

I think Gravity Defier is the part of Gravity Master series from Master of G....and if this is so than GWA-1100 is not at the top of the line...flagship models are GPW-2000 GPW-1000 followed by GR-B100.... please correct me if I am wrong
