GMTV Studio Lights Failure

Just after 6:40am following the regional news bulletin, the power to the lights in the GMTV studio decided to cut out. Recorded on the 3rd September 2009.

oh yes that is true! OoOOH maybe the lights cutting out was a sign that GMTV would be axed! Hehe. Only joking. But GMTV was an amazing breakfast programme. ITV claimed the viewing figures were low but they were infact high and lowered down once Daybreak started and everyone switched over to breakfast -_-

GMTV was an independent broadcaster for 16 years holding the breakfast license for ITV from 6am till 9:25am. Only untill 2009 when ITV bought the company out did it actually become a program on ITV. I believe viewing figures started slumping ever since that phone in scandal in 2007, and that is what I believe led to GMTV’s demise in 2010 after ITV bought it out in 2009. To them GMTV was a damaged brand.
