when you move to stand-alone I highly recommend the 1zz coil on plug conversion and and also just a simple DBW delete to move to 100% drive by cable if you don’t want to spend big bucks on a new intake mani

depends on budget and application. Yaris coils are cheaper, fit under the stock cover, draw a ton less current, and are more than enough up for to ~1k hp

@@poor4door you or someone you know making 1000+whp? Just curious. My IS made 1017whp GTE/Gr900/Grannas 8.8/ Alpha tuned. IGN1A coils are proven I don't know anyone personally running yaris coils on their 2jz making anywhere near 1000+ only IGN1A & I know alot of people within this community

Have you checked the wiring to the coil packs? Recently had a similar issue and that was the culprit

Yeah I can’t find anything wrong with the wiring based off of looking at it. Clips are snug and I don’t see any breaks in the wires.

If it ends up not being your coil packs/wires I’d look at the igniter. It’s job is to fire the coils in the correct order. I can send you my old one if you want to give it a try.

I’m 100% devoted to going standalone when I get the parts, but I wanna fix it now so I can atleast drive it until then cause there’s a bunch of parts I wanna gather and do all at once so I can get a good tune made when I go stand-alone but the car is fighting me and I’m stumped and almost out of ideas

Sorta. My ecu has leaky capacitors. So the car has sat the last couple years. I have an FRS that I’m planning to put this engine in, but with a full standalone and custom harness.
