Same for me, my first favourite BB in the game. I wanted Bismark and yamato, but i hated everything until i got Gnisenau. Later I got sharnhorst, but it is nowhere near Gnisenau.

She is a battlecruiser. She is better armored than a battlecruiser, in that case, battleship level armor, but you are faster than Prinz Heinrich (that os the german battlecruiser) and have a good top speed and manueverability. She is a monster, but you should prepare yourself cuz Bismarck, Friedrich der Große and Großer Kürfurst are more like Bayern, obviously much better than Bayern but they will make you go back to that standard less top speed and less acceleration. Gneisenau is an exception here
