The most impressive thing about Lagway is how much he trusts his arm and accuracy when throwing the ball. He has a full grasp of what he is capable of with his arm and he can execute it. His best throw of the game might have been the triple covered miss to Tre. Reminds me a lot of Jameis Winston in that he is thinking touchdown with every throw. He wants to make a play, not just run the offense. That's the most profound difference between him and Mertz. Great video. Thank you for these.

So thankful for your dedication to Gator film breakdowns! I definitely agree with you that targeting should've been called. That was a no brainer. I was screaming at the TV Saturday.

Played on both sides of the ball for Gordo at CB and WR… Ran a 4.35 second 40-yard dash at the Blue-Grey All-American Combine, the fastest time of the day… Started for a Gordo team that finished 10-2 in 2017 (6-0 in the region)… Committed to UAB over Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Troy and Samford.

Need #4 to transfer next season. He’s really good. Unfortunately he’s a grad student, so hopefully he lands a spot in the NFL. Xavier Lanier, transfer from Tulsa. A lot of teams missed the ball with him, should be starting in the SEC.

Not only enjoy the show, but I enjoy football more from learning more detail. What I notice now is how fundamentally sound NFL players are. I don't say Good College Team beats an NFL team any more. Though, that's why they play the games.

NFL teams are on a different level.

I noticed Barber struggling as well. I've heard beat writers complaining about the rotating OL. In general, I agree, we shouldn't be doing a ton of OL rotating, but the performance (almost across the board) has been flat-out bad. How are we getting blown up by Samford?

One more comment. I think DJ's bell was really rung on that one running play. I thought the entire second half he was just a little more diminished and less sharp from that helmet to helmet hit earlier. I also think he tired a little bit. He hasn't played football in so long and it was nasty muggy in the Swamp.

On the first play harris doubled down on the NT seem like barber was supposed to get the Lb thats blitzing so harris came off the double to get him just enough, so i dont think he got beat didnt look like his assignment. Barber didnt block anyone Montrell was already thru the hole

Every first offensive possession this year has resulted in a punt. That only happened twice all of last year. What has gone wrong with the team's preparation?

It’s just upsetting man, DJ is such a good quarterback and has crazy potential but it’s depressing knowing he’s in Billy’s offense. Imagine DJ at Tennessee for example, he’d be throwing bombs left and right. I really hope Billy fires himself after this season as OC, if he makes it to the end of the season that is.

I can't stand Billy's offensive scheme. There's a growing theme of DC's not respecting Billy and for good reason. I pray he's gone by the end of this year. It's also crystal clear that DJ is lightyears better at throwing than Mertz, even when Mertz is in the zone and hitting his mark. This is the second week where we've watched players with poor blocking techniques/basics as well.
@thomashoyle19352 ай бұрын
Exactly. He thinks if they execute his scheme to perfection no one can stop it lol😂. Miami ran single high man and dared mertz to throw it deep and mertz couldn’t hit open guys deep
@jayhow66122 ай бұрын
I can tell Lagway is a repetition learner ...so most of his poor decisions or off throws were to Tre and Hansen..2 people I'm sure have been on first team reps.. DJ is not as familiar throwing to them... as he is with tank and Maizel.. even Badger!!..I bet Jackson was ahead of him on the depth chart most of fall camp...Go gators!!
