As an Aggie fan, 1.) The Swamp was an awesome experience and would come back again next time A&M is in town but 2.) just as a college football fan in general, there really is no excuse Florida should be playing like this. This is a premier program with access to 5 star talent all over the the state of Florida. Hope Napier can save whatever he can for this program and wishing ya'll the best of luck the rest of the way. Go beat the horns in Austin and shock the world!

Thanks for having me at the stadium! This Aggie had a great time with the gator fans in my section (13). They also were frustrated at the play calls and some of the effort, but were really gracious and good sports to us visitors. Y'all definitely deserve better. Was a crazy targeting call - understand it, but hate it. Very entertaining review!

Another Aggie here. I think that was the best breakdown of film on defense I have seen. And your right 12 was consistently out of position and or confused about his responsibility, coaches should have corrected that or sub’ed him out

I guess as an Aggie the main takeaway I have from this game is: I am happy that our backup freshman QB was able to exploit some of these mistakes. I think he has a good eye. I hope we can continue this success, but I wont get too excited yet.

I think your analysis is expert and well done. the only critique i might offer is, in order to be fair, you need to show some of the good defensive efforts florida made during the game. until the very end of the first half florida defense held the aggies to 13 points. i would say that score points more to offensive problems than it does defense. it wasn't until later in the game where the gator defense got tired did the score start to get lopsided.

I'm sure you're right about the rule. But how is it I've never seen targeting the booty called on identical plays? The rule is 16-years-old.
@stephenbray44372 ай бұрын
They updated the rule such that the defender lowering the head and hitting with the crown of the helmet is enough to call targeting even if it isn’t to the head/neck area. Same reason the A&M defender got called. They both lowered their head and hit with the crown of the helmet.

I wonder how much Douglas has to pay for his ticket to the game since he's a spectator. He's got one of the best seats in the house 😂. I had free tickets to the game and was sitting up high. I noticed how bad Douglas was playing all game and kept commenting that to my group. He was getting picked on all game. I don't understand how he's still on the field.

@kevingilley11032 ай бұрын
I cant say this enough but I'm done with Billy talking about accountability and then letting the defense get cooked against both P5 teams and making 0 changes to the staff, who is calling plays, or scheming it up. Should be fired for cause because of the EGREGIOUS ineptitude of this defense alone. Also 12 should only see the field from the stands just like the rest of the fans.

Our problems are ALL COACHING. Not a talent issue. Our D is worse than last year by far. DJ Douglas played one of the worst Safety games I have ever seen. We need Asa back or just put in Greg Smith, if anything he probably can at least tackle better. I just don’t get the DB’s constantly playing behind the sticks so much, clearly our biggest problem in 3rd down D
