4:17 I think it's important to note that this is a really specific gameplay purposed thing. Charmander got Metal Claw as a means to not completely screw it against Brock in FRLG, and if I remember correctly, it doesn't learn it in any other game by level up. There aren't many examples of that in the franchise, but it's a really important one

"And meteors, most commonly, are made out of iron." This is not the case. Only around 4-5% of meteorites whose falls were observed contain a significant percentage of iron. Iron meteorites are, however, significantly more common to find without observing a fall beforehand due to their composition being so blatantly different from everything around them. If a stony meteorite comes down and its fall is not observed, it is much more difficult to find due to it generally blending in much better with Earth rocks. Additionally, in the case of truly ancient falls, stony meteorites are much more prone to eroding away than iron ones. Thus, around half of meteorite finds are irons, while only 4-5% of meteorite falls are irons.

About Solgaleo, he's heavily based on a supernova, an event in which a dying star bursts outwards in a violent explosion, and dying stars are known to have large amounts of heavy metals like iron within them, so Sunsteel Strike and Searing Sunraze Smash might as well be a supernova expeling metals everywhere. As for Autotomize, it's about actually cutting a piece of your own body. Geckos are known to do that naturally to their tails but some other species like coyotes can also chew one of their own legs off if needed to survive

Autotomize could also be based on autotomy, when an animal purposefully amputates a part of its body to escape a predator, like what some lizards do with their tails. It's probably Steel type because the idea in Pokemon is that it's used by heavily armored Pokemon shedding pieces of their armor to lighten their weight and move faster. You fight other trainers in that game. You still have pokemon moves. Its also an ok game. It got my mom into pokemon. She hates turn base games, but likes catching them. She almost has all the shinies. Its a game for beginners.

11:54 I would like to correct you by saying that the move's name is "autotomize" not "automize". In case I need to explain this, autotomize is a procedure that some animals can do in nature. They amputate limbs or other parts of their bodies (which they can regenerate) in order to both leave a distraction behind (in order to keep the predator busy) and be able to move faster. In this case the pokemon would be cutting/removing parts of its body/armor in order to be able to move more swiftly due to not having as much weight anymore.

Ahem: The composition of the Sun is roughly three quarters of the Sun's mass consists of hydrogen (~73%); the rest is mostly helium (~25%), with much smaller quantities of heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon, and iron. (wikipedia copypaste) So, the Sun´s plasma is not mainly made from metal, but hydrogen and helium. In that case Solgaleo may be a reference to the Sun, but its typing is not correcty matched. Also Plasma is a super hot state of matter, beyond gas. You know what else is plasma? Fire. Fire itself is actually super heated gas. So yes, fire type fits more than steel type. You could argue that it is that type for balancing reasons and too many fire legendary exist already. Still a cool video though. Apreciate the effort making these videos, shows your deep research. This case may only be a small slip.

Claws and horns on almost any species are made of calcium According to the periodic table of elements, calcium is a metal Therefore: 1. Any pokemon that have claws should be able to use metal claw 2. It’s correct that any horned pokemon can use smart strike 3. Every human can use metal claw. Come to think of it Comparing scratch and metal claw is like comparing dragonbreath and flamethroewer...

Keep in mind that Metal is an element _wu xing_ (as opposed to the Fire, Air, Water, and Earth of Western elemental cosmology). As such, a move like Flash Cannon is essentially infusing Metal-elemental energy into an attack, like Gajeel's Iron Dragon's Roar in _Fairy Tail_ .
