500 TOA Shadow Rebuild Guide (OSRS)

I've commonly been asked between the last 2 hybrid video guides, what do I do if I had a Shadow? Here is what I would do if I was an ironman, or someone who got a spooned shadow and kept it, or if you are one of those people who enjoys rebuilds. I do not recommend using Shadow without Ancestral, you lose SO many max hits and dps, that other builds become more viable. Tbow is still bis at Zebak, but Shadow only beats Zebak if you have salts and max mage. If you don't have max mage with your Shadow, you might as well go back to bringing full BOFA.
This set up is a little overboard, most people shouldn't need 13-14 Sanfew. Bring VW and upgrades to fill it things. Bringing melee setup to kill Baba/Kephri faster is quality of life but with Red X, you are still safe.

I actually did a Toa and Shadow rebuild from scratch. After losing 4b I used bofa and budget gear for hundreds of 410 ffa raids until I finally pulled a shadow. After that I ran 500+ invos with some friends. I went from 500m bank value to what is now 10b bank value in just a few months. Good luck to all!

Magus is less than 1% better and not worth the slot and money imo. Only time you'd see magus ran is going for speedruns really. LB is extremely strong.

Highly suggest going into a 0 invo and practice. You can use a bronze axe which is 5T not to kill her as quickly and practice. That's what I did

No. Ancient scepter is really bad and seercull is only for overly draining which you shouldnt take

Ideally you bring all the switches you can. This was moreso showing what you can do if your bank is drained from a Shadow Rebuild.

The full set of Masori is 200-250m. BofA is 140m. Blowpipe + Masori is bad on Zebak and Warden P2 and gets worse the more you raise the raid level.

Im looking to do my first 500 invo, i got spooned a shadow on iron. My best robes are blue moon, i know its way worse than ancestral but is it worth trying a setup like this with bluemoon/shadow? I also dont mind the extra challenge :P, mostly just excited to get my first fang kit. I also have voidwaker/bofa/lb.

Check to make sure it gives max hit, otherwise it's just about supplies. If you have plenty and it gives extra dmg, go for it.

Hey mr gnomonkey, sorry for late comment just have a question. Would ZCB masori be a better option than bowfa nowadays? Both for TOA, and generally. See a lot of contention online about it and have found people vouching for both bowfa and zcb. Thanks!

It depends on the raid you’re doing. If you are doing masses, camping ZCB will be better due to the high hit points and the chance of you getting multiple ruby procs. If you’re running small teams, bowfa is much more accurate and overall a better weapon. Hope that helps. I dealt with that same issue before I got shadow.

ZCB is 2% better with Masori than BOFA. It's good for high invos where the defense + hp is very high.
