By far the best interpretation of Gnossienne no. 1 that I have ever heard on guitar. Serene, heartfelt and deep. Beautiful sound.

An incredible performance that is unparalleled on You Tube. The feeling that he puts into that instrument is awe inspiring. The fact that its a Spanish 8 string twist neck is even more outstanding!

I was certain this was solely a piano piece. No other instrument could effectively convey the emotion. I was so very wrong. This is one of the best performances I've ever heard of this piece. Actually speechless.

Mi pieza favorita de Satie... podría oirla todo el dia. GRACIAS.

you're such an unique guitar player. so much feeling without rushing it. It's about the pure music and not showing off the skill. that's just amazing

absolutely mesmerizing... I actually began to applaud after this, just out of instinct, evne though I was at home alone. Magnificent interpretation, not too fast, not too slow, true to the original. Congratulations!

This particular Erik Satie piece, always makes my cry. This amateur guitarist is TRULY BRILLIANT and yet has to be discovered !

You know something? To me that is more of an in-door piece. Very introverted, closer to the moon than to the sun. Thanks for the comment.

Outrageous performance, I can stand Satie played by no other after hearing this. Only other musician I can think of with feels like that is Dee Armstrong who plays with Kila.

The guitar was built by Abel Garcia from Paracho, Mexico. The tunning for this particular piece is A E B G D A E A Saludos

I always adored that piece played by piano, never knew it would be so beautiful by guitar too! Magnificent! Siempre adoré Esa pieza interpretada por el piano, no sabía que sería tan hermosa de la guitarra también! Magnífico!

Even with some loss in audio quality, you listen Segovia, it´s Segovia. Well, even with that I do know that this is so far one, or THE BEST interpretation of Gnossienne No. 1 on guitar. Sometimes people as I feel that some songs are not made to be played on some instruments, but the appears a Great, with capital ´g´, interpreter and shows that is as matter of pauses, correct attack, pure feeling.

@antoniolopezp PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, post a video of this on 6string guitar in standard tuning. You are really the best i can find that plays satie on any stringed instrument. Thanks man,,,

I don't know much about music...would I need an eight string guitar in particular to adapt this piece from sheet music? Or will my humble six string Ibanez do?
@jimlappin13 жыл бұрын
I have only recently started to learn to play the guitar. I am making slow progress, but when I see another human playing like this - this gives me a lot of motivation to keep at it with the hope someday I could be able to play like this. Thank you for this.

It's an instrument invented by Paul Galbraith and David Rubio. It has, besides the traditional 6 strings, a higher string tuned to 'a' and a lower bass string tuned to 'a'. Thus, the tunning for this Gnossienne is: a e b g d a e a Antonio
