Those notes of Satie are amazing... they feel so intimate, it's like a good friend giving some loving advice to the performer. Thanks for your comments

I keep coming back to this. Other recordings become soulless in comparison

It's nice to hear someone playing Satie's work like it was meant to played. ... soft, heartfelt and without borders. A lot of people rush his songs or play them too rigidly, and they just don't sound right. This was spot on. Great work.

Yes, it helps to have those extra strings. The important thing, and the one that I've tried to keep always in mind, is that the instrument doesn't lose it's intimate singing quality. I think that that is possible in pieces like this. Thank you for your input. Antonio

I don't believe this piece can be played any better than what we've just heard. Hypnotic, beautiful phrasing and ultra-classic tone. Fabulous job Antonio, David

It's a pretty eerie song on the piano...but on guitar is sounds so sorrowful. I love when musicians make the instruments ooze emotion like they're supposed to. Great job!

I have heard many versions of this piece played on guitar, and this fellow's is the best by far. I wondered if he benefitted from having a superior guitar, but no, if you just listen you will hear a very fine musician. I'm sure having 8 strings helps, but it's the man not the guitar.

I have left comments before about what an amazing performance of Satie you are capable of and have had this featured on my channel for quite some time now but I need to say again what a wonderful version of gnossienne no.3 this is and can only hope to be able to play it on the piano as well as you play on guitar, you are a true musician and I think Satie himself would agree, thanks for playing-Pablo

@antoniolopezp Hello Antonio,Great to hear you playing Satie....Really lovely tone from that guitar. I would really like to see it "in the flesh".The slanted frets are interesting to hear about and does this enhance the tuning in any form or fashion? What notes are the 8 individual strings tuned to and do the strings each have their own thickness? This August in the city of Derry our Guitar society cgsni.org in Ireland will have its annual Guitar Fest.We have a lady member called Graciela.

Played with great expression and in my opinion interpretation...The guitar fits the piece most profoundly. I think that this 8 stringed instrument could easily tackle "Romance " by Rubenstein....I have never ever heard the latter piece played on guitar...only Cello and on Y/Tube most beautifully by the late Gregor Piatigorsky.Greetings from Ireland by the way.

Senor Lopez, do you compose any of your own music? I would love to hear. Also, it would be a joy to hear your interpretation of the Afro Cuban Lullaby that Segovia used to frequently play. Your sensitivity with the instrument and willingness to let the music breathe are magnificent.

It's not a twisted neck, the frets are at an angle. I don't think you can buy in in the net. Mine was built by Abel García. Saludos

Antonio this is the best rendition of this on a guitar I have ever heard!!!! :O :O :) May I ask how long it took you to get this good at guitar? I'm thinking of trying to learn it myself after I've got a bit better at the piano and I don't think I could get to your standard but I can try and get close! xD thanks :)
