Excellente stuff! Thank you sir, could I ask, how have you managed to control the bandwidth?

You will notice various FIR filters in the processing chain. But in particular, the AM Demod component has a passband filter set to 10 kHz.

@VE6EY Hi! Could you please explain why there is multiply by 1 block between AM Demod and Audio Sink blocks? I have seen it also in digital transmissions, but still could not figure it out why.
@VE6EY4 жыл бұрын
Hi Qalib. That's the volume control.It's controlled by the Volume slider in the display window. Cheers, John.

So this may be a dumb question, but how would you connect this to a proper SDR sink? My initial thoughts would be taking Multiply->Rational Resampler(Int:25 Dec:6 Float->Complex to get a sample rate of 2M) -> SDR Sink I also wish to broadcast at 1.7MHz (empty broadcast AM freq), to see if my radio will take the signal, would it just be a matter of editing the carrier?

Is there a reason to use the block 'Add Constant' in this AM scenario? I have already seen this use on carrier signal aswell before the multiply block. But haven't really found the reason why? Thanks in advance and a happy new year.
@VE6EY3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andre. You add a constant to make sure the modulation never drops below zero, i.e. remains positive.

Sorry, no cris. Should be possible as GNR makes it easy to work with quadrature signals (QAM etc.)
