LOP on the Type 81M Underfoder is 14". It's not short at all. Good enough even for taller guys. I paracord wrapped both stock arms and the butt and it feels very comfortable. Shoots like a dream.

yup, the hard rubber also work on the underfolder but needs to be soften with a hairdryer.

The underfolder is my favorite out of the SE's I've owned ans the lmg. It's a vibe, but also a really nice shooter and the stock has a good length of pull and cups into your shoulder nicely. Cheek weld was the only issue I have with it, oh...and the color of the furniture which I plan to refinish anyway

interesting question. i had to think bcos i switched out the clubfoot for a magpul. you can switch it for a regular variant 1 stock and add the pad, im guessin.

The look of the underfolder is great but that's it. Not a fan of folding stock but i should have got the side folder version when they first came in. I wanted to get a fixed stock Type81M but they sold too fast lol. I will stick with my standard fixed 81 and my LMG for now.

i think the soft rubber came from amazon and definitely the hard rubber came from aliexpress so ask why type before you buy.

Question for you sir! If I removed the bolt hold open piece on the bottom of the magwell that works with the mags to hold open on the last shot, would that mess any parts of the rifle up? I want to remove the bolt hole open feature so I get the ak feel of racking the handle back. I already have type 81 magazines so I don’t want to buy the akm pmags. I don’t think it’s attached to anything else but I want to hear from the expert!

Go ahead and remove it. You won't have a problem. Better if you use a mod AK mag for your T81 then you don't need to touch the BHO

Hello again sir! I gave this a shot today but had some issues. I got the little spring out of the bolt hold open, but was unable to slide the piece itself out due to the magazine release paddle on the bottom. Is there an easy way to remove this? I haven’t seen anyone remove the hold open or mag paddle online, it seems the parts are riveted in. Do you know any way, or is this a gunsmith issue? Thank you again!

@@CODMONSTER4LIFE the mag catch pin is not riveted. just punch it out. if you see one side of mag catch pin head is slightly flared then punch it from the other side.

yes, it does.i use the pad with side folder. the PLA nolonger uses the underfolder after they designed the side folder back in the 70s but continued to produce them commercially.

@@gnutzguy i’m trying to put a scope mount on type 81 and I put two new pins so I can screw the rail for the scope mount but the copper plate which has to go to the groove inside whatever I’m doing that copper plate doesn’t go to the groove inside the receiver on the pin doesn’t if I can see video or something help me

mosenmohebzadeh: 1. remove both pins and the copper plate and check the fitness outside of the receiver. lightly file off any burr on the plate that could prevent the smooth seating. 2. reassemble with the hammer forward so no tension. 3. hook the front of the plate in a 45 degree angle onto the hammer pin while your left hand fingers on the pin from the outside, move the pin left and right till its seated fully. 4. with your left hand hold down the front part of the copper plate over the hammer pin so it doesnt slide out and pull down the back end of the plate into the trigger pin. again from the outside slide the trigger pin left and right till it is seated properly. 5. you can tell the plate is seated correctly by looking from the outside thru the selector hole. 6. if you dont see the copper plate then insert the select while depressing the selector spring with a screw driver from the inside.... good luck
