It’s the SMP 300M for me, best GADA watch out there, this is why James Bond would use it

An Explorer 2 would be a great option too. It´s tough, has date complication and second time zone.

3 great choices. My pick is the Sub date for the reasons: That ez link bracelet, the bezel fit & action, the dial is a bit prettier imo, it dresses up a bit better than the others, value retention/ hedge against inflation. ....Plus James Bond ; )

A difficult one but I'd suggest a Sea Dweller 4000 (SD4K) for someone with a 6.5 - 7" wrist. 40mm, ceramic bezel, date, built like a brick has an over engineered feeling, amazingly comfortable once the diving extension is removed, limited production run, has great heritage, 3135 movement - reliable / cheap to service and most importantly it's not a Submariner - So when someone asks, you can give them the WIS talk and all Rolex owners be it collectors or fanboys give it the nod of appreciation - The modern day E39 M5 of watches 😃

Out of your top 3 I would go with the Tudor
@verynormalman
@verynormalman 7 ай бұрын
I think your original three are very wrong. 1. Omega Planet Ocean 39.5mm. 2. Tudor Pelagos 42. 3. Glashütte SeaQ You can't pick a Rolex or a Casio, as they're both not go anywhere watches. If you have a solar Casio, going to the third world, means you're DEFINITELY going to lose that watch. And the Rolex, if you travel in Europe, America, or South America, you will DEFINITELY lose that watch. A one watch collection means you don't take it off, ever!
@TheRandomWatchDude

In which case your top 3 choices don't work either! Based on your logic, just don't wear a watch, right?
@simondouglas3519

Pelagos.. a no for me as the Sub and 300 can cross over as a dress up watch

Fun ideo - I think about this a lot. I think youve got to add quite a few options to the list. 'anti-magnetism' is a must in a modern world. And an adjustable clasp (bye bye Tudor). And it must be mechanical (duh)..dont want a watch that might go dead while Im out and about. Power greater than 50 hours...we cant wear them every single moment of every day...COSC certification...we need accuracy over time...And good lume...we need to have fun in the evening do we not? Youve just scratched the service...

My exit/end goal watch is definitely my two-toned Rolex Datejust 36. With that, I have absolutely no need for a second watch. Divers are too over-rated, and not being a tool/hands on guy, perhaps it’s not my cup of tea. Feels weird bringing a diver to office

The most important watch in any collection is the one on the wrist. So the greater the number, the less benefit. Reducing to 3 watches of the highest quality one can afford: one for work, one for play and one for dress/ occasions

Recently started to watch your channel, can I say I’m loving the content, your views, presentation and in general. I have owned several Omega’s, and several Rolex’s and everything in between past 20years plus. From Seamasters, to Milgauss, Submariner, Daytona old reference. But now only have two watches, a Sprite and JLC . Loving the Sprite, as it’s just a great watch to own, makes me smile and something I can never get bored off. So different and long term keep, nearly purchased the Pepsi but went with this. Keep up the great content. What are your thoughts on the Sprite? Best wishes Nandu -UK

Firstly I would find the Tudor thickness an issue, secondly the omega seamaster diver 300 in steel/rose gold (and I have owned this watch) just adds a bit more dressiness to the the tool side of this watch and so would be a prefect candidate for a one watch solution. And finally the submarnier, yes a great watch no doubt and I own a no date but the omega has a bit more versatility, particularly under the cuff. So the Omega Seamaster Diver 300 wins. Darn I want that watch back now!
