Dude Zangoose candies are difficult to come by. I've wanted to make one since pre.season when the panda lady smashed me with it. Ursaring is a comparable substitute but Zangoose is still better imo.

I've been loving Shiftry and how often it can just go through 1.5 of your opponent's pokemons and this video has me really considering committing to my Zangoose. Thank you! :) Shiftry wins really hard and also loses really hard. Zangoose is kind of tricky in most matchups, barely winning some and barely losing others. That's the big tradeoff between the two imo.

A good way to get shiftry for ultra that doesn't require friend trades is either shiftry raids which can be soloed if you have the bugs and some luck on its moveset or shadow seedot to purify so you could definitely get the minimum 13 13 13 as a shadow. I got the latter and now I'm walking my shiftry for candies and best buddy boost

great vid, I've been using Ursaring as a discount Zangoose (Normal type with Shadow Claw + Close Combat & anti-Giratina move) but I really wish it had Night Slash... Play Rough is just so inefficient in comparison at almost twice as much energy for only 0.8 more DPE, and no chance to buff your attack either! :(

After my rating went from 2887 to 2804 with a Venusaur lead, I might consider running this team. I do have a lucky 98% Zangoose that I can use that I still need to max, a maxed out Shiftry with 83% IVs, and a functionable Charizard to try out this team.

Lol he plays escavalier exact the opposite to me. I use drillrun and acid to bait some shields out. Then going in with shadowmachamp and swampert to kill the weakened enemies. That brought me a 21 winstreak from 2100 to 2250 trophys.

Armored Mewtwo is really solid in the lead. It mostly needs to worry about Giratinas and Alolan Muk but covers everything else really well.

Hi KING. I'm trying out this team which has put me in a very good position, i went up by 250 points and sitting around 2730ish, going up and down... The team consists of Shiftry lead with classical MS, Cresselia with Confusion, Moonblast and Future Sight and Registeel... It has great coverage and only really struggles with Articuno and Alolan Muk leads. In those scenarios i safe switch Cresselia to either take hidden Swamperts in the back or basically draw some shields... I'm also using Confusion over PC because it hits harder against Poliwraths and Lucarios and charges only a little bit slower than PC... Do you think this team can resist up in the 2800's?

Sorry, I'm seeing this late. Your team is definitely strong! I think Armored Mewtwo has taken over as the stronger Psychic typing in UL this season, mainly because it's bulky and doesn't get walled by Registeel. Maybe give that a try when UL is back in rotation :)

Tyreek Hill I like Zangoose more since Shiftry pretty much hard wins or hard loses its matchups, even with a best buddy boost. Zangoose is pretty dicey in a lot of matchups so the extra bulk and damage will help.

The boost adds one level, so if you max your pokemon to lvl 40 the boost will put your Pokémon to lvl 41

I think for Ultra League, the grass buff won't make too big of a difference besides for Sceptile. Certain Giratina counters like Alolan Muk, Lapras, and Togekiss will be even better counters, whereas Registeel and Cressalia.

I like the strategic part of the game. But is it me or are the games too fast for any thought process/ decision making? It seems that these people are aware of every moveset + type effectiveness without thinking for even one second. Sometimes I even forget my own lineup, or switch to the wrong pokemon because the fast moves are killing me too fast
