The creepiest part for me is when Chris has had enough and goes upstairs to get away from everyone, the crowds are chatting and making small talk then suddenly everyone stops and looks up, it just chilled me to the bone.

Tim... that's what B-roll is. It's little snippets from the set for press to use in whatever media they're creating. The hard cuts to black are to make definitive cuts between shots because it's meant to be edited.
