Very good question. I believe the astro a50's work via connecting them with only the usb cable. That's how you can connect them on pc so i believe that it will be the same for the new ps4 models. Enjoy. :)

PSA: This new A50 set fixes the notorious issue the previous gens had of producing a buzzing noise in the right ear while having voice chat enabled. Staff member on the official forums confirmed the 3rd gen uses new hardware that fixes this issue. This new gen looks great.

I bought my first a50 in 2012 amazing headphones the best I've ever got but I don't like that the new a40 got more customes than the new a50 why always the a50's will stuck in 2 or 3 colors while there's a lot of colors on the a40's? I mean for me a50 sounds better and should have more color options

Yup. You overcharge the headset, and it can affect the batteries life. It would probably decrease to 10-12 hours, after a year.

If the mic is similar to the on the previous A50 redesign, it's a solid mic. It did pick up a lot of background noise, however, that won't be an issue here since you can finally adjust the sensitivity.

They're misinforming you bro. The Xbox One version of these will allow you to only listen to game volume on PS3, but not let you use game chat to talk to friends. Obviously both game volume and chat are supported on Xbox One.
