My Spice arrived the other day. My first jam on it turned into a song idea within the first ten minutes of owning it. And of course it pairs perfectly with the Edge. Their sequencers are very similar, which helped me get started quickly on the Spice. I bet the Grind is going to be very familiar to Crave owners for that reason as well. I'd get all four but I'm loving the Spice and Edge so much that I don't feel the need to add anything else except drums and effects, as you've done here! Bravo!

Yes, the spice and the edge, as the Moog originals are really kind of unique and special. I did order a Labyrinth some week ago. Should arrive in the next month. Looking forward to it. I think most of their tricks and stuff can be done with my modular system, but they packaged it quite well. Congrats to your spice!

@philaesfarewell Thanks! I'm loving it! And the Labyrinth is the only thing from Moog I'd buy at this point. It's so unique compared to everything else they do. Even the filter is different than the default Moog filter they've been using since the dawn of time, which I was really surprised by. I kinda want to see Behringer clone it just because of how much more I like the Edge compared to the DFAM, but at the same time, I'm glad Moog released something that's totally unique, even to them, that I kinda want to give them my money first just to send them the message that if they're willing to change with the times and produce something like the Labyrinth where its uniqueness makes it worth Moog's prices, people will buy it. The DFAM is great, but it's not that special for what they want for it, not when Behringer can make a better version of it for a third of the price. But the Labyrinth on the other hand is a whole other animal. I'm looking forward to the content you make with it!

@@BeyondTyrants With Behringer clones, I’m always a bit torn. For example, I have no issue with the Poly D, the Korg MS20 clone, or various other replicas of very old models. There was a gap in the market that Behringer simply filled. When it comes to current Moog clones, though, I see things a bit differently. Moog had to take the entrepreneurial risk of deciding whether these instruments would work. The DFAM and Subharmonicon, for example, didn’t exist in this form on the market before. The Labyrinth, on the other hand, is essentially just two modular Turing Machines, a few quantizers, and some oscillators, and for that, it’s still reasonably priced. Sure, Behringer might be able to put something similar out for around €300+, but Moog has to approach their pricing differently. The DFAM would be too expensive for me as a non-techno fan, but the Labyrinth is very tempting-it would integrate perfectly with my modular setup.

@philaesfarewell I agree. It's tough to defend Behringer when they clone things like the Arturia Keystep, which is still in production and already fairly priced. Nobody was asking for an even cheaper version of an already cheap controller, even if they did add a ratchet feature. I mainly picked the Edge and Spice over their Moog counterparts mainly because I like the layout and aesthetic a lot more. If the prices were the same, I'd probably still get the Edge and Spice over the Moogs, but that's a subjective thing really. The Labyrinth is definitely a great value compared to buying all those components to put into a rack yourself. And if Behringer does clone it, it'll be years before it actually hits the shelves anyway. Might as well support the people who came up with the idea first.

Cranking the cutoff 😊 I wonder if a light overdrive would fatten the sound even more. Will have to solder some overdrive pedals 😂
