notice how kirito and eugeo's blades nearly mirror eachother's movement. They even cut their shoulders at the same time, in the same place. This episode is trying to show that Eugeo is by far the character most equal to kirito in the entire series. People will say kirito's more powerful because of his dual blades, but nobody ever said Eugeo couldn't hold two swords at once. The only difference between them is that Kirito had awareness of what the world was, while Eugeo, as talented as he was, was still naive and inexperienced. In a sense, if Kirito and Eugeo's spots had been swapped all the way back in aincrad, and Eugeo was the one who put the headset on, the same exact thing would have happened, and we would have ended up back here again, with a kirito vs eugeo fight. Of course, in that case, Eugeo would be the more aware and experienced one, and Kirito would have gotten his memories wiped. That's how insanely similar the two are. They are nearly the same person, down to the last detail. at least, that's how the Anime plays it. the novels are a bit different in the sense that Eugeo has a more developed character, and doesn't just seem like "shiny kirito." At the same time, Kirito's character is also built upon more. They are still similar, just not looking-into-a-mirror similar. if you read all of that, why? This is the ramblings of an excited SAO fan.

7:12 He managed to break through her "shield" it is because Eugeo's sword isn't made with metal. It was from the Blue Rose. Same goes with Kirito and Alice, their swords are all "plant-based". Also, Eugeo actually did froze Kirito and Alice puposely because he doesn't want them to be dragged to the problem he believes initiated. He wants to protect them from the Pontifex and go head on alone to Quinella. Regarding to the, "wardrobe" of Quinella. That just shows how she believes how powerful and high she is that she doesn't need a dress that constricts her.

Actually Eugeo a dual origin blade made from eternal ice dripping on a blue rose encasing it in ice and naturally forming a blade, kirito was a chiselfrom a branch, Alice's is also a tree but Administrator probs made it from conversion

Even in the novel we don't get a lot of information about what Quinella did to Eugeo, but what we can gather is that she artificially enhanced his incarnation ability, which is why he is able to generate elements without commands as well as use incarnate arms, a relatively high level use of incarnation. You also seemed like you were going to comment on how his movements seemed weird/unnatural, but that's just how Sword Skills work. Sword Skills have very unnatural high speed movements that often times defy the laws of physics. Also, the kick skill Kirito used is a Sword Skill from the Martial Arts Extra Skill called Gengetsu (or Crescent Moon). Unfortunately the Martial Arts Extra Skill is very underused in the main series but it's going to get a lot of use and fleshing out in the upcoming Progressive adaptation! Great reaction :)

Keep in mind, the anime has only represented 25% of Eugeo's character, and it's unclarified. So if people don't like him, it's mostly because of the Studio's fault, People who don't like Eugeo are usually who don't read The LN, Since in the beginning the anime has always cut a lot of his monolog and backstory or anything related to his character growth, so many events that supposed to be told from his PoV are getting cut or replaced by Kirito, which that's extremely fatal, cuz it's made him completely bland and kinda more like a side character instead of a main, He's really lacking.

The reason why blue rose sword almost hit the pontifex (Quinella) because that sword (blue rose) is not made by an ordinary metal, but it's the eternal ice and rose, same as Kirito (Gigas Cedar) and Alice's Sword (I forgot the name of the tree) , it's like God instrument, special metal, and rare item, that can even break or match Quinella sacred art or defence.

To clarify what happened for you: Quinella added a barrier to herself that protects her from weapons made of metal, which is why the dagger’s unable to touch her. Eugeo’s Blue Rose Sword, however isn’t metal, it’s a sword completely made of ice, so it’s able to break through. Side note: the reason why Quinella’s nude right now is because of her sick, mind twisting arrogance

@@rinokumura8870 WoU part 1 was the best adapted part of Alicization for me. Main reason was that Alice being the mc with proper character development. But that same treatment doesn't go for Kirito in the series even though he is the mc. I loved part 2 in the LN, but in the anime it was hella rushed even with Kirito's hurdle which was butchered, not to mention A-1 exaggerating certain scenes that were totally useless and they used their budget on that shit in the quarantine. A-1 has great animations but also they are expert in cutting contexts and monologues.
