They just rotate, and I believe it's every hour so you'll have a couple chances per day to see those Pokémon

This Gofest is a much better gofest already than last year. And I highly recommend for people to raid Kyogre ans Groudon during raid hours now this week. And focus on Carbink and Mega Rayquaza for GoFes as they are limited time. Also remember that you will get way less Premier balls for the Mega and Primals raids. For ideal raiding if you want to catch Rayquaza its better to wait until they return in normal T5 Raids for more premier balls, which in some way increase chances of you catching it as you get more chances.

Question! What if you have shadows of any of the Pokémon that get the move upgrades, normally you need a team rocket event to tm the moves off of them. Do the shadows get the move changes with evolution as well?

Good question! So they unfortunately won't be able to get the new move because the move frustration will still override it. HOWEVER, if you have enough stardust and candy, teach that shadow pokemon a 2nd move and then evolve it. You'll be able to get the new moves it'll learn during the event!

I'm an advocate of keeping higher IV Pokémon if you don't do PVP. HOWEVER, if you don't have many strong Pokémon id keep both until you have enough candy and stardust to get the higher IV one up

Hi, I am fairly new to the game I started about 2 weeks ago and I'm only level 21, would getting this go fest even be worth it for me I don't even know how to get a normal rayquaza let alone a mega one lol

Well first of all, glad to have you as part of the community! So if you plan on going out to walk around a park or some kind of busy area where there's a lot of gyms and pokestops, I think it's worth it to buy the event ticket. If you plan on sticking with the free option, then you'll still get a lot of cool pokemon popping up! But when it comes to raiding and getting Rayquaza, you'll see it pop up above gyms, specifically on Sunday. So all you do is get a group/ join a group of people (preferably 6ish) and click on the gym, and then click the "raid" button at the bottom. Basically, you'll use you're pokemon, battle alongside other people, and try to defeat it! Then once you do you'll get pokeballs so you can try to catch it. Once you get the hang of it, if you do enough, you'll be able to get Mega Energy so you can mega evolve it! However, Rayquaza is a little tricky compared to the other Mega's so you'll have to teach it the move dragon ascent first by using an item called Meteorite. I explain it a little in this video and I also put another video in the description that goes a little deeper. Sorry this was such a long response, but hope it helps! If you have any specific questions or comments don't hesitate to ask! I'll try to respond as quick as I can 😁

The habitats will feature all the pokemon I showed in this video and will rotate every hour. So just make sure you go to a park or a place with a ton of pokestops during the habitat you like the most so you can catch those pokemon!

It hasn't been officially announced but I expect it to be between 1/25 and 1/64. The normal odds for a shiny for go fest are between 1/64 and 1/128, so if you bought the ticket it should be better than that, but not as good as community day's shiny rates

I personally got the ticket because I think it'll be worth it since I'm going to be walking/ raiding a lot. Like since you're going to a city you'll definitely be able to take advantage of raiding and catching pokemon, so for you specifically I think it'll be worth it

They locked Mega Energy for only the NYC Ticket holders, so if you did one remotely or don't have the ticket you wouldn't get mega energy. Whenever Mega Rayquaza is available on the 27th, you'll get Mega energy when you do the raids then

It technically still is free! You'll get meteorites during Go Fest Global through a free research. If you want extra, you can purchase the ticket and get them through another research! But yeah, if you don't want you buy the ticket you can still get the meteorite, so don't worry!
