I bought GoFind 44 and I did not regret it, I already found 3 old coins, 1 gold ring, and a horseshoe that was 40cm deep, if you want to have fun with a low cost go find 44 is a great option.

Terry Marshall the bottom shaft only locks when fully extended, I think. Haven’t got one with me at the moment to double check.
