I recall the time the Colonel impressed the Gopher Indians into service with the U.S. Cavalry. At one point the Colonel gives Ruffle Feather an order, and Ruffle Feather responds in that hilariously unintelligible Gopher language. Colonel: What him say? Running Board: Him say You full of prunes. I saw that as an adult and busted out laughing, especially knowing that I never caught that joke as a boy.
@LuvvyDuck8 жыл бұрын
Ikr? Lol. Makes you wonder if a lot of the cartoons we grew up with weren't partly aimed at adults...it seems we appreciated them more after we got older!
@HOTTIUSMAXIMUS8 жыл бұрын
Exactly! It's amazing how many jokes I missed as a child watching "Batman" and "Bullwinkle" and "Fractured Fairy Tales" and "Go Go Gophers" among others. I recall watching these an adult and laughing out loud like I never did as a boy! It makes me wonder how many children grew up watching "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" and then watched the same episodes as adults and finally caught the humor.

actually the PC crowd DOES love to make fun of white males, especially religious Christian types. I am practicing Cafeteria Catholic and I get made fun of for my beliefs. Ironically I CAN TAKE as well as DISH IT OUT! That is where the PC crowd fails; they can dish it out, but they sure as hell can't take it, especially if it's aimed at one of their "protected groups." Him say: "PC idiots needem to gettem over it!"
@brucevilla74908 жыл бұрын
Dessert Tray There is a line between taking it out and dishing it out as long as the abuse is fair across the board. When a majority group singles out a very small minority group (American Indians) it is kind of racist and abusive especially when you look at the actual genocide done to this group of people (largely by Christians). I can give it out and take it, but you gotta pick and choose your battles more thoughtfully. An atheist abusing a Christian is different because the atheist is actually in the minority group.

They don’t show the intro on MeTV Toons. According to Neal Sabin, the head of the channel, it’s because the company that owns the show doesn’t do a good job of maintaining the quality of their prints. If this is the highest quality of the intro that exists, I believe him.
