I had the same idea for my spiderbox GX150, probably would upgrade to the 200cc engine if you say the 150 struggles

The engine is not struggling. We change the sprockets to make it easier on the engine and also adapt the ratio for the tracks. With the original sprockets, the engine rev up to 9700 RPM and damaged the engine. We've been running this machine for 2 winters now and we don't have problems. Of course it's still a 150cc.

Shouldn't even have to change sprockets.... just mess around with clutch springs and variator weights

How does it do on an incline?

We do not have big incline here. In general in the snow, it does pretty good. We changed the sprocket ratio and that help a lots. It's like a car in the snow, if you slow down, the machine sink but if you keep going, the machine float on the snow to a certain limit. It is pretty fun to drive in the snow for a 150cc engine.
