Go Kart 5HP Briggs & Stratton Fun Power Engine Start

I have this exact go kart from my childhood same originalotor and all with the cage still on it mint condition they use to have a hige sticker on floor baord in a rainbow color shape saying fun power as well i still drive ot to this day with a oredator ghost wngine and saving the original motor for when i sell ot if i ever do as original vintage kart. I just made a new cage for it using same size tibing and all i love it and i jad it sonce i was 6 im now 32 been garage kept and washed after every ride

This is my chilhood go kart im 30 still had it all origional in excellent shape and it got lost in the hurricane that hit rickport Texas it floated away or rolled away in the flooding and never found it makes me very sad. Its waa in mint condition cuse we took care of it as kids and it did many laps around the asphalt oval track my parents owned in cannada where my mom raced at. My dad built a faster racing brigs motor for it and saved the stock motor and it did 67.7 mph on radar gun around that stock car oval track ran 1.2 seconds slower then the 570 rear wheel hp super stock my no drove cyse the kart is light abd dling 8 miles an hour slower then her car cuse its a small track kinda with high banking andif I kept it at the very bottom whole way around fastest line it would come close to same lap times cyse in a big stock car you gotta use the whole track to arc into bottom of corners. If anyone has this go kart for sale please let me know. I did a restoration on mine right nefore hurricane had ir re powder coated red had every single lable decal and sticker that kt came with from factory remade uskng my vynil lrinter and cutter. And rebuilt the stock origional motor to have a little more power so my but can drive it at 220 lbs the racing motor blew up yearsrs ago lol. I even built a new cage for it that was taller so adult can ride kt and saved the origional cage for it both looked identical except one was taller. And my dad put a live axld setup on it as we'll so it woild drive better with all that power

I have one of these engines on a kart and it runs fine but when u give it less power it cuts out do u know what the problem is? And where do u put the oil in these things?

The young Farmer these carbs a diaphragm in them that is most likely your problem and the oil fill is by the side cover where they crank shaft comes out to drive the kart it’s on the side, there is 2 but you can’t get to one of them because the fuel tank hides it so you’ll have to use the one closest to the seat on your kart

Might be a Carter Brothers. I have one on my channel with that engine, from 1996.
