pipe welder here. and I'm that sort of person who walk around and wherever I come across welds do I feel the welds just to know if the guy who made the things knew what he were doing and I can honestly say that a lot of stuff that is actually being used looks worse than your weld on that exhaust. I personally would suggest going down in amps because of how thin that matereal is. a rule of thumb is 25-30 amp per millimeter of wall thickness. the tricky part comes when you have two pieces of vastly different thickness. in that case did you do the right thing by starting at the flange and moving up to the pipe. you can also run 2T (wich means that you will have to hold the button pressed throughout the weld) and have a bit of slope down on the machine. some slope down means that you can release the button, have the amps go down over time and then hit the button again to bring the amps back up. it is a way of controlling heat wich can be really usefull in challenging welds. I would peronally rate that weld a 4/10, but when adding the handicap of being a complete newbie when it comes to welding will that bump up the score to an 8/10

Even on summer days, put with a syringe some oil 2-3 ml after take off that orange cap from top op cylinder, help piston to lubrificate, on winter days it's a must, have joy

Quin(n) is adorable!! That little bit of shy I'm sure is not a reflection of her true personality. Looking forward to the day when she's confident enough to rip the Drag Rail down the track!

Actually the center part of the pull start is the drum of a basic no recoil rope pull start.The 2 little grooves in the ridge in where the knot at the end of the rope fits. Good luck

Another great vid guys...Guess the torque of a diesel and weight over the drive wheels = Traction could be a factor...just plain ol brute force....love it
@KetansaCreatesArt4 ай бұрын
Well done. Amazing colour work. The slowmou uncle was faster on the bigger diesel engine because his weight counterbalanced and grounded the wheels. A suggestion - Must attach the original muffler to the extended tube. 😎✨

That thing has so much torque. Bigger back tires for more contact on the loose stuff and more cushion in the rear with all that weight.

Both of you was extremely excited, we were too! Look, different gearing for a faster top speed and a small turbo addition, it'll spin up faster with a little power braking at start to build boost, then let it rip on a hot lap....

Cars and Cameras, love the video and the note about safety. I want to add one further safety note for people. If someone who is going to ride a go kart with long hair.. please tuck it up or tie it up. It can get caught in the rotating parts exposed on the engine. And that can cause serious injuries... be safe out there!!

I’ve got a little monster moto mini bike that I threw a 98cc on, I closed the spark plug gap some, moved the ignition coil closer to the flywheel, deleted the governor on the engine, threw on a cheap carb and header pipe from Amazon and it RIPS I can hit about 40mph on it before it vibrates the hell out of the bike and so I slow down and it cruises at 30mph no problem, my only complaint is the camshaft is made entirely out of plastic but if I had to guess it’s making around 4.5-5hp now and it’s hilariously fun

just to recap; diesel generator, mounted on a 'put-it-together' go-kart is awsome! and that's cutting it short still haha that thing is a monster!

The diesel is really showing torque in this video. It has lots of get up and go but cuts out pretty quick. Cool video!

Years ago when i did paper delivery i found and bought a yard cart one wheel peeler and stopper, revived it and a 5+ horse briggs with a 1" shaft, it hated low speed and uphill, then engine decided it had enough. Though it would be cool to revive again with a rotary, then electricified like the genekart but trailered( till seeing the driving part) bue now maybe i should go with diesel. Then i wouldnt have to worry about lack of torque. But first thing is converting the axle

Here in the Philippines those cheap diesels power hand tractors that are pulling trailers filled to the brim with dirt, potatoes or rice bags like those lils boys can pull low how you enjoyed it in the end after hating on it half of the video ❤️

You can adjust the injection timing by adding and removing shims on the injection pump. Put a clear plastic tube on the outlet of the pump and turn the engine over slowly with the "throttle" open till you see the fuel move in the tube. The timing marks are on the flywheel/block. It shouldnt smoke all the time you are probably over revving it. She gonna blow up if you keep doing that

Guys to bad installing a CVT on that kit was not an easy to do thing due to room as its a must do i thought i never have and luck with slip clutches .who ever makes that kit need to add that in to lay out .. and i like re-greasing all chine roller bearings with moly grease or read n tacky lucas brand ...Great job

I made some of those plastic washers from some HDPE tape I had and I have some leather punches for the hole then I stick them in place and trim the outside to the shape of the part. It’s kind of an expensive rout but I had the stuff luring around. The adhesive back makes for easy install and if you have to take the thing apart there’s no extra washers to loose, keep track of, fumble around with etc.

I never thought that there would ever be a diesel small engine but they’ve been around for YEARS! It’s crazy how far technology has come in just the last ten or twenty years.
