Off-piste skiing is always fun. On the other hand, I really like the forest areas where you can't really see where you're going and if you go fast it requires fast reflexes, but on the other hand I also like big open areas and possible small jumps.

@MrLeebenscott hi! Thank you. The full sequence was recorded in 1080p WIDE (170° FOV, I think / 25 FPS). However, go pro recommend to use the 960p or 720p mode for helmet cam ski filming in order to benefit from the FPS gain I assume. But vibrations are reduced in powder grounds and it seems alright even with 25 FPS (in my opinion).

Salomon FOILS. I've skied them for the past few seasons. I call them my 'swiss army skis.' They are a tool for all occasions. Not BRILLIANT at anything, but a damn good all-rounder. I think they are a bit soft and 'chattery' at speed, but i'm mounted pretty much central for better switch riding. If you are buying ONE ski, these are not a bad choice.

the best mode on the gopro hero 2 camera for sports in the snow is 720x 60 fps makes it really smooth and nice :) i only use this mode when snowboarding but it depends :) wery nice video!

If you have faith or very good connection you can edit in 1080p... Don't forget that most people don't play 1080p on KZbin. I agree with Sindre Vignes: 720p 60fps on the Hero 2 keep good colours and allow you to make great slowmotion.

@mynameisvallu Hi. yes twin tips they are. Salomon Teneighty Foil. They're really good skis. they flex just as much as i need them to…theyre really light as well…But they're getting old (2006 i think). I'm willing to change them for proper freeride skis since i don't do freestyle at all ^^

You just have to try it, off piste powder skiing is almost orgasm! It feels like you surfes on the snow. If you're a good skiier, you learn it by your self ;)

is that bad? i noticed that too .. i am trying to learn freeriding, its quite different from skying in piste ..where i really dont mind doing stupid things .. but in powder snow (i have carving skies) i feel unsure and those sharp turns cannot be done etc..its completly different feeling .. but great :)

Boosting airs with mates in deep pow is what skiing is all about! Screw what everyone says about the best way to ski pow, there is no right way, every ski is different, every line is different.. Fuck Rhythms and weight distribution, ski comfortably! As long as your dropping cliffs and shredding at speed who gives a fuck.. Peace
