Interesting once again Paul. I preferred the 60 fps footage. Most of the issues with 1080p, however, is down to KZbin, I believe, and the compression they use. Probably see a real difference on 'tube when you experiment with 4k...........................maybe 😃

Looks good Paul, and thanks for sharing. I cant see a lot of difference between the 30/60 fps on my phone but the nice clear weather may have helped that. Like the super view too. Stability spot on as well👍 Are you still using your drift to record your audio?

i cant really tell much difference from 30 and 60 fps maybe slightly smoother on 60fps. looking forward to seeing a 2k comparison tho as im getting tempted to switch from a drift to gopro or maybe the dji osmo action 3. have to say compaired to the xl pro its night and day difference and will make looking back on ur trips more enjoyable

There’s no real noticeable difference with 2.7k I tried and switch back to 1080. There’s a lot of difference with 4K but huge file sizes. The big difference is using 60fps compared to 30fps, more noticeable on a big screen.

Paul I don't suppose you could make a video showing how you clean and fix the tension on your chain? There are no videos on how to do it with the NT1100.

I'll see if I can put one together. To be honest, I could do with watching one myself as this is my first bike in 15 years with a chain. All previous bikes were shaft drive.

@@paulgriffiths6404 I've watched a few on other Honda bikes but found nothing on the NT1100, I'm surprised you managed the whole Luxembourg trip without the need to adjust the tension but I guess that is a good sign. Passed my test yesterday and took mines out and it was magnificent. What a bike!

1080 is enough also saves on card and processing time. 60fps is a smidging better i would go with that 1080 60.

Hiya Paul thank you for the shout Out #theloftybiker...... Yes 1080/30 for me, picture is more than good enough for KZbin! I do like the wider field of view on the GP11....Stabilization is amazing too. File size when editing is more important too. Dicky Vagas said one of his latest tour episodes took 5 hours to render!!!!!! It would take me months if I recorded in 5K lol.....Keep up the good work

Have you done any further testing with different resolutions yet Paul? I am finding that file sizes are smaller using 4k, 30fps, Superview, Hypersmooth on boost. Seems strange I know. Battery life is obviously reduced at these settings but, like you, with a powerpack in the tank bag and plugged into the media mod this isn't a problem. I do find changing batteries with the media mod is a "pain in the arse" to use one of your phrases 😃. Interested to know how you're gettin on with it. Only got my Hero 11 fairly recently and whilst the footage is great I'm wondering if I should have waited and gone for the DJI Osmo Action 4.

Further, as you may be aware, I ride an R1250RT and have found that the Hero 11 also runs well plugged into a USB adaptor plugged into the DIN socket on the Beemer fairing.

I've not really upgraded to 4k, seem pointless just for KZbin as there's not a massive difference due to their coding and compression. Yeah, can be a pain with battery and mod. I leave it at 60fps and 1080p. Although the file size is large, still get 5 hrs of footage out of a 128gb card.

I'd keep the 30fps it's not a noticeable difference and I'd trade storage over quality. One thing I'll mention is i watch on a tablet so 5K is lost for me, my device won't display at that level so I get 1080 regardless.

Strange how 'the viewers' have become more demanding. Now everyone want's stuff in 4K with HiFi quality audio. Doesn't seem like two minutes since nearly everyone (some very large channels now) had a Drift Ghost S with a Drift mic. 🤣🤣🤣
