Do you have any tips for jumping position x
@christina_showjumping7 ай бұрын
I don’t think so, sorry!
@estella_eq4 ай бұрын
To improve your jumping position while riding horses, it's essential to focus on a few key tips: 1. **Correct Posture**: Maintain a straight line from your shoulder, hip, and heel. Keep your back straight but relaxed, and avoid leaning too far forward or backward. 2. **Balance**: Work on your balance by keeping your weight centered over the horse's center of gravity. This will help you stay stable and in control during the jump. 3. **Leg Position**: Keep your legs long and close to your horse's sides. Your lower leg should remain still and secure to support your balance. 4. **Release**: Allow your hands to follow the horse's mouth over the jump. A proper release helps the horse jump more freely and allows you to stay balanced. 5. **Eye Contact**: Look ahead to where you want to go after the jump. Keeping your eyes up helps with balance and preparation for the next movement. 6. **Practice**: Regular practice is key to improving your jumping position. Work with a trainer to get feedback and guidance on your form. By focusing on these aspects and practicing consistently, you can enhance your jumping position and become a more effective rider.

!!!THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION NOT HATING YOU'RE AMAZING!!! Maybe try halting after the grid or lengthen the line to 6-7 strides that way you can halt between the jumps to teach her to not just run off. Again, just a suggestion!

To maintain a quiet lower leg while riding, it's important to focus on your position and stability. Here are some tips to help you achieve a quiet lower leg: 1. **Correct Stirrup Length**: Ensure your stirrups are at the right length for you. Your stirrups should allow your heels to be slightly lower than your toes, promoting a stable lower leg. 2. **Leg Position**: Keep your legs long and close to your horse's sides. Avoid gripping with your knees, as this can cause your lower leg to move around. 3. **Weight in Heels**: Concentrate on keeping your weight in your heels. This helps anchor your lower leg and provides a secure base of support. 4. **Engage Core Muscles**: Strengthening your core muscles can help you maintain balance and stability, which in turn keeps your lower leg quiet. 5. **Practice Two-Point Position**: Practicing the two-point position can help you develop a strong lower leg. This position involves slightly rising out of the saddle while keeping your lower leg still. 6. **Riding Without Stirrups**: Riding without stirrups can be a great way to improve your lower leg stability. It helps you develop a deeper seat and a more secure lower leg position. By focusing on these tips and practicing regularly, you can work towards achieving a quiet lower leg while riding.
