I used to watch Hercules a lot when I was kid. I’ve seen both versions you’ve done of this song. Being a metal head I’m partial to the first version you did. Hercules is my absolute favorite Disney movie of all time. This cover is so beautiful and I swear, I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes when I heard this for the very first time. The visulas, music, his voice, and the piano convey everything that the lyrics themselves are saying. Peyton really did this song justice, and I truly appreciate that from the bottom of my dark little heart. This cover is by far my absolute favorite! What I really appreciate about this version is that percussion is never brought in. Usually by the 2nd verse people do that. But this is a song about an inner determination and a longing that is so close to the heart, and all you need to convey that is the piano and your own voice. It stays incredibly strong and tender at the same time. Thank you for this!
