This is exactly what I need right now. Beautiful yet easy enough that no frustration arises. Thank you, Marly. I have no ombre and am trying to do some stash busting, but I have Red Heart SS shocking pink and purple. I think that would make a sweet girlie blanket for my six week old granddaughter.

Thanks, Marly! You explain things so well. I love your videos and you blew my mind with color pooling! I lost my urge to crochet for a while, but I can always count on you to get me back in the swing!

It would be awesome if you could provide at least one picture of the entire blanket, laid out flat, so that we could see the color variations and changes across the pattern. The photos you provide are all great, don't get me wrong. It would just be nice to have a couple where the entire blanket is visible in its entirety.

This is such a gorgeous pattern and very versatile. I'm currently on my 3rd blanket with 3 more planned! I'm using Bernat Baby Blanket (Variegated) yarn super bulky 6 with a size 10 MM hook for a beautiful drape. The stacked double crochet makes a beautiful edge. I had a difficult time learning it until I watched Marly's other video which is strictly a tutorial for the stacked double crochet. Marly's correct, if you need a beautiful gift which works up quickly this is it! Thanks so much, Marly I appreciate your tutorials and love your work!

Thanks for that pattern it’s really simple and beautiful. The written pattern say 6.5 mm crochet hook, and In the video you say 8 mm crochet hook. It happens, 😄

@@marshafleming4165 Yes I know just wanted to clear the confusion for myself and like minded as from 6.5 to 8 is a lot, of course gauge is what matters the most ☺️

Can the stack double stitch be done with all blankets?
@Tadi3a
@Tadi3a 3 жыл бұрын
I am a bit confused. I looked at the written pattern. It said chain 75 an odd number and single crochet into 2nd chain from hook. The video has an even number of cast on chain and single crochet into first chain from hook. I love the blanket, but just need to clarify the directions before I chain as I am going to make a larger blanket with heavier yarn. Thanks for a great channel. Laura
@MarlyBird
@MarlyBird 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, correct. I was giving generic instructions for people who didn't want to actually look at a pattern. Just giving an example as I was chaining. If you get 2 sts per inch then you just need to figure out how big you want your blanket then do the math. So, if you want yours 60" wide @ 2 sts per inch then you could chain 120 or 122 so you would have 119 or 121 sts to work with for the blanket.

Do you only do 1 stacked double crochet on the edge? Or do you do a stacked double every time you get to the edge?
