I respect anyone who makes do with what they have! Been that way my entire life and will always be that way! Yeah I make amazing money now but I’d rather drive my shit box Tacoma or old hi boy than have a new truck… just as long as my wife and kids have a nice set of wheels I’m good with my old woods trucks.

You've always had a damn good outlook David! Good to see you around!

I like it 👍 I did a similar thing with mine. Surplus mag pouches on a dive belt. The belt is very rigid and holds everything well. Surplus mag pouches are definitely not as fast as something for competition but it fits the budget for me.

If you're "not as fast" and still placing more fast than guys with faster gear you're doing pretty okay, I think.

I like it and the reason they're probably cool with you is because you're pretty cool 👍

*Folks:* Don't be intimidated by the competition runs you see online. At least half of us are as bad as you think you are, and some of us are worse. Come out and run your gear. Ask questions and have fun.

Hey, not only that, the best shooter at my entire gun club, our club president, he gets smoked by the pros at bigger competitions. But he's not ashamed of that, they shoot a couple thousand rounds more than him a month. Most guys just want to see younger guys become better shooters.

Looks like some good heavy duty gear! I'm an ol' logger and NRA High Power competitor, as far as I'm concerned, firearms, chainsaws/logging are just part of the rugged American experience, they go hand in hand to me!

I never shot any matches until last year. I learned so much in those first couple, it was unreal

@@timberfallingcouple When shooting in Service Rifle High Power, which is shooting 200 yards standing, 200 sitting rapid fire, 300 prone rapid fire and 600 yards slowfire or just a straight slow fire 600 yard match. The club I belonged to, kept an extra rifle and ammo that was suitable for shooting a match and instruction would be given to enhance the experience of a new to competition shooter. I just mentioned this to affirm your premise about the old hands are always willing to help new competitors. I also shot some "Two Gun" and "Three Gun" competitions. competition gets in your blood!

I like your timber related content but honestly I am not interested in your gun related content. Personally I would prefer if you kept that to it's own channel as the 2 subjects are not really related. I know a lot of people will disagree but I am just stating my personal preference. I will give a thumbs down when I see gun related content but a thumbs up when I see logging related content. Please don't take this as criticism, it is not. I am not saying anything against the gun related content other than suggesting it might be better kept separate.
