I loaded the firmware before I installed this kit. Just removed from the original box the WHIM and connected to the harness in the house. It updated to the latest version. This is the closest one I have found for my 2023 Road Glide and thanks!

Great install!...I installed the WHIM on my ultra limited and paired with the Harley branded Sena S50's....I still haven't convinced myself that it was worth the money!...it just doesn't work as seamless as I thought it would...or maybe I just had to high of expectations for it! I'm going to keep using it....but if anything happens to headsets...think I'll just go back to the harley hard wired headsets!...great video...stay safe...ride safe!!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦

I've been running THE WHIM on my 2015 for 2 years now with the 30k. I've not had any issues or challenges. My only suggestion is to make sure your headset pairs to the bike first and then pair your phone to the bike. If your phone pairs first to the headset, you can get some challenges. I just picked up my WHIM today. Have to pull apart my fairing to install some things figured I would as it to the list. I really like what you did by not removing your tank for instal. I’m in agreement they should have added this to every model especially touring models. Anyways this week or next week I’m installing this. Been using my Harley card lately to stack up points for the Harley branded 30k headsets. Wife loves being able to communicate when we are 2 up. 😊

We love our cardo packtalk com system. Once installed you don't need your bikes radio any more you can talk to cardo the same way you talk to Google. Using cardo packtalk I can even interface my Google home hub. While blasting down the road on my motorcycle I can turn off my security at home or turn lights or even tell cardo to bring my garage door app to the top on my phone so I can open my garage door. So yeah obviously it'll play Spotify. It automatically mutes the music if you're talking to another ride with cardo. NEVER throw away the instruction manual. A year later you'll still be learning stuff about your com system. Buy extra speakers/mounting ports so you can use it in multiple helmets.

@@602North cardo also has an app in the Play Store you can install the app on your phone and then use your phone to set it up with preferences and such. I also enjoy the fact that when it also connects to my phone I can look at my Bluetooth and see how much battery life the cardo has. Much like my GoPro accessories and my drone I leave the cardo on a charger that runs for 15 minutes a day that way it is always full up. Like I said though never throw the instructions away the list of voice commands is unreal haha. It's hard to remember all of them.

thank you for the info. What I'm still trying to find out if this system includes Apple Carplay. I'm about to have the dealer install it since I'm a new rider and own a new Tri Glide Ultra

The WHIM doesn't not include Apple Carplay. Carplay is included as part of the infotainment system on thr bike depending on the model year you own. My bike is a 2021 and the infotainment system has Abdroid Auto and carplay. One way to find out is to plug your phone into the bikes USB port. If Carplay comes on you have it. If not you may not. I know in 2020 the WHIM or a jumper was needed to enable it I believe. Best to check with your dealer or do some Google searches based upon your bikes year. Thanks for watching and ride safe. thanks for the information, I installed the whim, and purchased a Sena 50s. it connects to the bike perfectly, or to other riders, but how do I switch from the bike to other riders?

You shouldn't have to do anything to switch between. It should automatically do so. I usually use the mesh capability on the 50C for rider to rider and blue tooth to the bike. I also use CB and it all works at the same time. I hope that is helpful. Thanks for watching and ride safe. 👊✌️👍

I do have the Harley headsets. I'm not sure about your question. In the past you could connect Sena headsets but the sound would only be in Mono and not stereo. Thanks for watching and ride safe. 👍✌️👊

Sir, need your help. I currently have the whim and driver / passenger Sena harley brand head sets. My ? How many Sena helmets can I connect to the whim, say as driver. I just purchased the modular harley Sena full face. Do I need to forget the original Sena 20s conectó the new modular or can I add the modular helmet and choose it on the screen? Thank you

That is a great question and one I have as well. My guess is you can only connect one headset to the WHIM as a driver. If you are switching between headsets, my guess is you will need to use the "forget" option and then pair your other headset. I also have multiple headsets and planned on testing it out to see if I can pair two headsets to the driver...but I'm guessing probably not. Thanks for the question. Why wouldnt/couldnt you just put the firmware update wire and route it into the right glove box with the other USB?

You could do that as well. Obviously you would need to drill the hole and get a rubber grommet to keep it sealed up. But that is definitely another option. 👊✌️👍

Question. I installed a CB on my 2021 FLTRK and I’m thinking about going wireless. Will I be able to talk on the CB using the wireless helmet or headset or do I have to stick with the wired headsets

The WHIM is an addition that will allow a Bluetooth headset to connect. Unfortunately, if you want Bluetooth headset to connect to the bike, the WHIM is the option. @@HDVIBE I also have a big bag of little plastic tabs that have adhesive on one side and a small plastic loop on the other side with no real design advantage other than it can hold wiring and you can run wiring under your tank without worrying about it ever dropping onto anything.

Ought one of these had Harley install it screwed my stereo up something terrible two months went by they gave me a refund on the whim and the stereo who knows they say it’s as good as we can get it very disappointed with the whole process don’t buy the Harley set up buying problems
