Bro I’m from Mumbai and you know how cops in Bombay are. They know in which train people carry more alcohol and set the trap to catch u accordingly and then it turns into a whole level of nightmare for such a small thing. So I wouldn’t advice you to do it.

@@reubenpaul11 bro the deal is that 1stly you can’t carry bottles in train as per railway law. Then the 2nd problem is Mumbai police and excise department looks at any alcohol purchased from any place other than Mumbai as loss of revenue and then they fine you for it. Plus they expect you to have a Maharashtra state Excise department permit to carry and transport alcohol and not the one you get in Goa that’s fake. So you understand the scene here is not easy.

The fact is that local police and railway police are always found at check post and railway station but not at airports in India. That’s why they don’t enforce it so much. And state to state the local laws vary so it’s confusing if you’re and out of state person Traveling back crossing a their state.

In short, as per excise notification by rail or road liquors are not allowed except some exceptional Union territories. Secondly, overall Airlines follows universal rule -- for domestic 5 ltrs and International 2 ltrs. Beware of Fake permits issued by wine shops in Goa.

No. Gujarat is a dry state. They will check your bag if you’re coming from Goa.
