I m proper Goan.I ll suggest not to book any hotels from agents.Go to proper Goa Tourisam site or proper online channels where u can contact directly to hotel recepation or owner.Try to get hotels near city area rather than beach area.All beaches are well connected by roadways.Avoid google maps if possible or update ur maps.All proper goans are polite & helping in nature.Ask any help from proper goan only.We always help.

Additionally I found scams with Taxi drivers, after booking a tour for South Goa, driver told in the mod way that the point where we are heading is closed and need extra charges for taking to next one or else we have to spend time at near by beach or places only...so there is no way to skip in the middle of the tour. Every shame full for GOA

All these scams are also at Lonavala/ Khandala. My wife wanted to take the ‘Club’ Membership for 25 years, which I refused flatly and was finally successful in letting her know about the scam. We also wasted 3 hours in a hall like you said, but it was anyway our last day and we had to pass time somewhere before getting back.

I had a completely unrelated scam in the name of free Hotel Stay. A Car service center in my city called and said, they are providing free stay with a Resort and it is free if you give the car for service within 2 days. The car was serviced, but we never got any call or invitation for Free stay. I followed up, but response was cold. Since car service was due, i just left the Convo. Scams ha....

three years back i booked a five star hotel in kerala thru an online portal and paid up entire hotels charges for three days while booking. i got confirmatory email from the portal saying the booking has been done. when i reached the hotel the front desk informed me that there was a booking in my name thru the portal and the booking has been subsequently cancelled by them. the hotel was kind enough to accomodate me at the same rate at which i booked thru portal. on return to my station i found the portal was a scamster based outside the country. i took necessary care to stop the scamster further damage.

Common scams: 1. Tattoo scam: it's very common in Goa, initially they will say tattoo banwa lo 20rupees me... jab banwa loge tab charges alag ho jayenge... 2. Scratch card scam: almost sabhi jagah pe kuchh log apne hotel ya resort ke promotion ke liye baithe rahte hai... aur bolenge ki scratch card lo aur jo gift milega o free hoga... Ek baad yaad rakho kuchh bhi free nai milta,,, just avoid them or provide wrong information... like wrong mobile no. tell them you forgot your credit card.

@@preetisharma3063 we stayed at Candolim and there are many reputed hotels nearby... Like Hyatt, Radisson, Lemon tree, Novotel, Taj etc... Also less expensive properties are also available.. this area is a little bit quieter and less crowded compared to Calangute and Baga...

Our trip was on 2024 fist week of October this is our experience 1. Don't book water sport activities online. The number of activities promised vs what actually provided was different; the water sport activities were not worth the money we paid. It may look convenient to book online but these are brokers they have layers of many middlemen. Once you pay you won't be able to contact the original person who booked the event because he got his money. Instead find an activity at the location and negotiate an offer and do it at the same place. I figured Panjim City, Multi level parking had this cruise and water sport activities, research before planning. 2. We met with scratch card guy on chapora beach, after listening to them understood marketing and sales stuff so avoided going there 3. We went to dudhsagar but the jeep safari was not yet open( As of first week of October 2024). At the location we met a guy who promised another small lake where we can get in to water and spend some time, he showed videos of other family but i felt it wasnt safe so avoided it. Avoid going to remote places with strangers.

Yes, i agree. We have booked villa and when we call him, he made excuse that kam chal raha he villa me, hum ap ko nahi de sakte. Kash apka video pehle dekha hota. 😘but goa tourism has worked hard to give facilities to their tourist, i haven't seen any man misbehaving with women, if you are a solo visitor it is safe. Love Goa👍

हां, गोवा में हमारे साथ भी स्केच कार्ड और होटल कि मेम्बरशिप के लिए स्कैम हुआ था । करीब 4 - 5 धंटे तक मेम्बरशिप प्लान के लिए फोर्स करते रहे चूंकि मुझे पहले से ही कुछ जानकारी थी इसीलिए उनके किसी झांसे में नही फंसा। आखिर में 2 दिन होटल स्टे का कूपन दिया लेकिन मैने उसे यूज नही किया क्योकि एक ओर स्कैम में नही फंसना था । धन्यवाद आपका कि ऐसी जानकारी का विडिओ बनाया ।😊

We 3 had mast wala breakfast & told them we want 75k wala package.but our credit card is at our hotel. Will take it and come in 15 min. Woh 15 min kabhi nahi ahyega. Gave wrong contact number and after 3hrs boarded our train. Banane walo ki banali😅

Watching this video while on my way back home from Goa. Thank God we escaped all the scams including that "scratch card" one. But I saw 4 couple got scammed in those 2 hrs.. felt sad for them. Goa govt should do something about raising awareness about these scams. This is spoiling Goa's image.

Bahut achcha video ekdam ghar waalon ki tarah aap ne baatein bataain. Scratch card wale scam mein humbhi fasse thei, bande ne card Scratch karne ke pehle credit card dekhaane ko bola tha. Humaare 6 to 7 hours waste kara diye thei. Complimentary lunch aur taxi bola tha. After offering coffee they were not asking to take lunch even when it was 2.30 pm. Then we had to ask them to get some sandwiches as we are hungry. They wanted to sell holiday package worth 3 lacs or more.

I will suggest all upcoming tourister beside Goa , you all tourister visit malvan , vengurla , devgad , aachra beaches in sindhudurg. Just before Goa border. There is no scams 100 % . More safer beaches for tourist than Goa. All facilities available rooms, homemade fresh food, all beaches are road connected and most important people are poor but rich in hospitality. There people are more sweet and polite as compared to Goa. Ready to help anytime for tourists. My personal experience beaches are more beautiful than Goa.
