The edgelord-ness is bullshit and unnecessary, and +Metatron would no doubt agree. It's not like Historical KZbinrs are competing against each other. In fact they are cooperating with each other. You don't have to like Skallagrim, but destructive test cutting is in fact a thing. The fact that not many KZbinrs do so proves that Skallagrim is a valuable in that he is one of a few. He also has a decent number of sparring sessions with Blood and Iron colleagues, which clearly is more than "nothing". And he buys weapons that many other HEMA KZbinrs wouldn't normally buy. For the record, I'm subscribed to +scholagladiatoria, +Skallagrim, and +Metatron as well as other HEMA/History channels. The pie isn't shrinking because they fill different niches within Historical channels, and when they overlap, that just means there are more opinions on a particular subject matter, reinforced or debated. So please, don't be an asshole.

Garrick Cicero I wouldn't say a debunking is in order cause it takes place in a fantasy world called Albion so it isn't limited to having to use historical accuracy. It's the same reason you can have black people in Camelot and it makes sense cause according to them it's Albion not England

Garrick Cicero personally I don't remember anyone in full plate armor whether the Knights or anyone they fought against. Now what I thought was odd was that they only wore sections of plates like plate just below the neck or on one of their arms which I thought you guys aren't Roman gladiators you can armor both arms

Garrick Cicero well I do remember a certain undead knight appearing to be fully armored but obviously he needed to be to make him look more mysterious but ya gotta remember if a knight is wearing a surcoat you can't tell if he is completely armored or not so certain people may have appeared to be in full plate.

I would love an early fourteenth century suit of armor. I am in the process of writing a low fantasy world approximately equal to the early fourteenth century (as a start.) There's so much variation, that seeing you, and your use of a set would be really incredible. Especially with KnyghtErrant having ready access to a suit belonging to the late fourteenth, and now early fifteenth centuries. In addition, I think videos on the names of weapons and equipment in modern AND archaic/ancient/old Italian would be really quite awesome. The medieval Italian that we see in many manuscripts, if only as a study of etymology, and less as a tool for learning the language of said manuscripts.

Metatron I have a question regarding Centurions that is very simple, yet very nagging. I often see centurion wearing lorica Hamata or Squamata with phalerae and sometimes with a Muscolata. The thing that confuses me is why I see so little centurions wearing lorica segmentata, a more effective armour I believe. I'm guessing its to do with the time period as the lorica segmentata was introduced during the Empire but I want to be sure. Also, one last thing, does the direction of the crest have any significance as for the rank of the unit? Thank you for all that you do a fan from Italy
