You have misrepresented this site and the information. The site was quoting information from the Canadian Press Style Guide (which you would know had you read it more carefully), which is a private industry standard for journalists. It was not a policy or rule of that university that students had to follow, it was a recommendation borrowed in from private industry. (And it's a "style guide" not a "rule book".) So lack of research on your part, lack of reading skills, combined with misrepresentation of the site and policy. Your are not doing education , your are committing libel. I have stopped watching your programs since it is clear the information as presented cannot be trusted.

After only recently discovering this channel, this is only the third video I have watched. However, I appreciate the factual approach taken in the video, strictly focusing on facts and all etc, and applaud thorough research. It is truly gold. It's like a public service at it's best.

As an American Caucasian is pretty common on any paperwork you fill out regarding race. In every day use I feel like we just call eachother white. Caucasian is kind of a dumb term when you understand the history of why we say it but I don’t find it offensive more archaic like he said with mulatto.

I'm a mulatto from the Dominican Republic and I dont get offended, in spanish we use basically the same word minus a / t /. But in english I use mixed race cause is more accepted, Americans have a different relation with the word as they have with the word negro. In the DR couples use the word "negro" as a term of endearment: in fact you can see "white" Dominicans calling negra/negro to their spouse.

Ok. This is MY university. And we have a huge misogyny, racism, and anti-Indigenous sentiments problem. This guidance is welcome actually. It is quite helpful. This is simply updating language from disciplines who DO know what folks feel or think about these words because data shows they are offensive. Dude. It’s not whether “Blacks” is an offensive term to you or not. The DATA shows these terms have connotations that are harmful … dude is embarrassing himself. “I don’t know how people who are (not like me) feel…” and then offers an opinion on what ought be used. Peak white dude, dude. Peak. White. Dude.

A 7-year late addition to the "Slashing" section, which you did partially address with the added images, is that most such training was most likely done with the 'wooden' version of the sword, not the metal Gladius. Would be a complete waste to deteriorate the blade in training by hacking into a wooden pole xD

I’ve been in Jesus’s presence His voice is full of kindness and love, I was sick in bed and He stood by my bed I could not lift my head because of extreme pain so I never saw his face but his voice just spoke of love and caring ! He asked me what I wanted as tears streamed down my face I said please take this pain away I awoke next morning and was fine ! Going for major surgery years later I was in operation room and panicking “ Jesus where are you ? You said you would be with me ! “ I am here and a undescribable light glowed in the corner peace fell over me and I awoke hours later in recovery! Now I am able as a more mature Christian to know He is always with me in times of need and I have nothing to fear !

Mulatto specifically mentions to Black-White mixed race. There are Mestizo and Castizo, who were mixed of Native American and White (Castizo just Mestizo and White). Caucasian is more accurately described to Azeri, Georgian (the one borders Russia) and Armenian since they're from Caucasus mountains, where the name Caucasian came from. Using "Equity deserving groups" made me thinking these people are racists who doesn't want to be called as racists. It's just add up with White doesn't get capitalized as Black is. People of color and colored people is conceptually a same thing. Putting the word "people" first doesn't really mean anything other than word arrangement. Ghetto isn't described originally to Black neighborhood, it was more to Jewish neighborhood in Europe. I find illegal aliens weird. When I think illegal aliens, I immediately thinks extraterrestrial creatures went to Earth without permit. Honestly the worst thing is these words are forced into university. Which is one of major reason why western academia sucks nowadays.

Apologies, Meta, i stopped your video and moved on after 10 minutes because the topic just got boring. Nothing against you. Personally, I'm exhausted to hear of some pathetic sapp who got their feelings hurt over a ridiculous falsehood and decided to whine about it. False Sexual orientation, false religious interpretations, and false racial discrimination...giving clout to this level of stupidity only encourages others to do the same about equal or more ridiculous falsehoods. Best of luck.

As a black Egyptian, I believe that the majority of the ancient Egyptians were black, not all of them, and they were not sub-Saharan Africans. I do not claim that the samurai were black, nor do the ancient civilizations of the world were all black. Only ancient Egypt, which had a majority and not all of its inhabitants, were brown or black, as they call us in Egypt metaphorically, because Our real color is brown, not black

if the straps are not tight, I can crawl into my late medieval armour (brigandine is to be closed on the back), I tried it serveral times to get trained with it. it takes twice as long to get in, but have more troubles to get out, and always not fits properly. hardest thing is to grab from above into the bevor to get the strap of the helmet, cause the arms and pauldrons already attached. helpful is that the arms are already bind at the aketon and I put it on like a jacket

@user-vo8xi3ew7h5 сағат бұрын
As a black Egyptian, I say that the majority of the ancient Egyptians were black, to be precise, brown or dark brown, as is found in Upper Egypt, Nubia, and Aswan, but we are not the same race that sub-Saharan Africans have. We are black, but not sub-Saharan Africans. Remember that the majority of the conflict revolves around kings, and we know that many Of the kings in the past and now, he used to come from other races and other countries, unlike the people. Kings could be white or black in ancient Egypt because their mothers and many of them were not Egyptians, unlike the people. The riot of the Nile advanced to the north and accompanied the people of the Mediterranean Sea, and when You travel to Aswan and see a dark-colored child, or it should be as if you were seeing one of the descendants of the ancient Egyptians at that time, from the people, of course, and not the king, whose son could have been white, but his mother’s genes were Greek or Levantine *hybrid* Greetings, I hope you reconsider the topic of this video because you denied that they were black. The fact that blacks are limited to sub-Saharan Africans only is not true. India and Australia have indigenous black populations who are not sub-Saharan Africans. Greetings from Egypt, ❤🎉

Ancient Egypt is an African civilization, and the people who founded that civilization were black people. Unfortunately, this historical truth causes alot of cognitive dissonance in the world today because almost everybody has been taught from childhood that black skin and civilization are two words that are mutually exclusive. Therefore, no matter what literary, archeological, genetic and historical evidence that corroborates the black origins of ancient Egyptian civilization, there will always be a concerted effort by the gate-keepers of Egyptology (Euro-centric academia) to downplay, write-off or deliberately ignore altogether these evidence because the narrative of a black man as the one who gave civilization to the world stirs up an irrational unconcious contempt in the Eurocentric of that very notion. Nevertheless, the world needs to be re-educated about this yet to learnt and beautiful heritage of humanity. And that is that, the wisdom of the black man who built an amazing civilization that was the envy of the ancient world, taught the Greeks from which the foundations of Western civilization were laid. If we can generally agree that the China man built the great wall, the Greek man built the Parthenon, the Mayan and Aztec built their stepped pyramids, then why is it such a psychological struggle for all of us to generally agree that a black man of ancient Egypt built the great pyramids? That is the prejudiced based ignorance we must overcome first in order to begin acknowelging the significant contributions of the black African's of ancient Egypt to humanity's collective heritage in socio-cultural advancement.
