2:52 You were lucky.. Normally you have to turn USB-A 3 times before it fits

I've had many battery banks including some of the ones you featured today and I landed on the Flip 12 and 36. Mostly because of their weight and capacity foe size. I keep the green version of this Flup12 in my Apex EDC with a short Nomad cable and the inCharge Mini. I keep the 36 in my MW Texh pouch with a larger Nomad cable and wall plug which I don't need to carry for most of my daily excursions. These are fantastic chargers and to answer your question they are anodized aluminum.

I have the flip 24. It resides in the junk drawer in the kitchen because I keep forgetting to take it on my bi-annual dead battery drop. I'm surprised they haven't changed the design with this flippy USB-A swivel arm charging thing. Mine was gifted in a swag bag and it's never honestly worked. It just never finds that sweet spot when hanging out of an outlet. Having something that charges via the swivel arm is simply a horrible design. It might work on this lighter-weight 12 version but my 24 just doesn't charge in any outlet no matter how many times we tried to prop it up or adjust it. Goal Zero produces great battery systems for larger projects, we have a system in our cabin, but these little forays into daily carry back up bricks... It's a no-go for me.

How does this do interms of charging? I pushes out at 1amp...yes? Im on the fence on this because I line the 2.1 amp ot 2.4 amp chargers versus 1amp.

Would anyone ever travel with a solar power battery and panels even when not camping? Just curious since Goal Zero is a solar power battery company.
