I got a Torch 250 and a Lighthouse 400 (which I believe is discontinued) last June and I did my review on them. I have some issues with the design of the Torch 250 as well, mostly the USB port on the bottom doesn't have a cap to prevent mud, dust or dirt from getting in there as well as the charging USB cable doesn't have a rubber cap for the same reasons. When I was looking at the recharge time from a totally dead battery the on board solar panel would take almost 2 full days in 100% sun to fully charge and 6 hours charging using a Nomad 7 panel. It's not totally useless and it will charge your cellphone at least once and a half but there is a lot of room for improvement.

I got it after a major earthquake. When checking for damage/injuries the main message you will receive in the disaster area is "my mobile is about to run out of battery". If you have this, you will always be able to send/receive. Sometimes short messages is all you need. The solar panel and hand crank are good backups if you are out of power. Note below somebody posted that it takes 2 full days of sunlight to re-charge. But it is better than nothing during a disaster, where you cannot buy more batteries. Fires swept through the area 3 years later, knocking out power for a long period. This goes in my Every Day Carry Bag, with water, energy bars. Going camping next week, and will for the first time leave my propane lamp at home

Very informative video and the only one that I’ve seen so far that shows the unit being used in a real life setting, But...... would have liked to see just how good it is at lightning up say a tent, back of a camper van, or a room, and maybe some outdoor footage of the spotlight function being used outdoors. I’ve watched about 10 KZbin video reviews of this torch now, and they all certainly let you know just how great the features are, but none ( except for yours) show them being used in real life!

Should show a flood view, like how well it lights up a decent size room. Cool little device though, would be good for a bug out bag I think.

I did 5 minutes of cranking on mine when it was dead and it gave 50 minutes of light on the torch. I think it is 1 minute of crank charge for 10 minutes of light.
