The best at anything is the one that adapts the best AND still outperforms. That is Leonel Messi. One underrated example. Messi WAS TRASH at penalties, I know Im a barca fan. But... After a few years you could see his progress into becoming a penalty kick specialist. For example in the world cup he scored all his penalties when the PRESSURE was immense. Messi from 2016 would probably have missed all the penalties in the world cup but the 2022 messi did not. Thats a slight example of progress, coming from one of the greats. This is a statement of his character, always trying to improve. Thats why he is... The Best.
