Hi. Ive seen all your videos now. You have such a good understanding of the gk role and I agree to about everything technical you post. Keep making videos of goalkeepers technic, both small and big details, and I think your comment felt could be a great gk community where we can discuss different technices. I also think you should contact some other youtubers to get some more subscribers. I know a few like Maklin Robinson and the other american guy, they like to analyse videos like yours. Maybe you can get some shoutouts. Keep working, this channel has a lot of potensial!

I agree, he should have dived to the right with his hands attacking the ball which also leads him get faster to the ball imo. In your opinion where do you think he should have stood when the ball was being played. And in general how much meter do you use as a rule of thumb behind the back line? Great video mate

There is no exact distance in my opinion. Every situation is different. On this situation, the midfielder is not in a position where he can shot from, and the striker is running into an open space. These two clues are a trigger for the goalkeeper to be a bit higher and to anticipate quicker this pass in behind. I hope this helps! 🙏🏼

Yes of course! I was in a French second league academy, I then signed a professional contract before going to play in college soccer in the US. And I am still currently playing there.

its tricky in this situation and i wouldn't call it a horrible mistake, i assume the keeper dove this way as it would have prevented the striker chipping him, if he would've dove the other way his legs would have swung out causing his head to be slightly behind the rest of the ball, he would"ve been there later.
