I was watching this video so slowly savoring it nightly, & whenever Cuenca was being filmed, I would rewind to watch her beauty and joy knowing that she was loved. I cried for awhile to learn what happened to her. I've found a thrown away puppy here in México who's now been with me for a year and a half. He's my mate and my life now revolves around his happiness. That's just the way some of us are... I love your videos. Your souls shine through. Thank you for being so non sensationalist. It's rare these days

BRUTAL😢😢😭Through the entire video I laid here on my bed (recovering from oral surgery) with my left hand on my cat and my right hand on my dog. Watching Cuenca and thinking “mankind has cohabited with special animals since day one and we always will.” Then came this gut punch. I sincerely wish you both the very best through your new adventures 🫶🏼

The kindness and hospitality of Brazilians is one of the main reasons why i love that great country!🇧🇷
@AnneDingwall4 ай бұрын
I lived in Manaus from 1999 to 2004, and have returned 5 or 6 times since then, most recently this year for 4 weeks with my partner, who I "acquired" after I retired and met a charming Irishman in the pub on Bowen Island. Today he disappeared in his workshop and came out and said "you have to watch this video about the Amazon". I flinched, having painfully watched too many Germans, Americans and Brits "discover" the Amazon in arrogant videos. You, and a scant few others, are the exception. Your presentation is sensitive, non-judgemental, and sympathetic. You raise the challenges and problems, and never ending yoyo of Brazilian politics, without preaching. For someone your age you have a gift of observation that most people never reach. Apologies for rabbiting on, just wanted to thank you for an excellent video of my second home. I leave you with an old English word that I think describes your passion - Coddiwomple - "To travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination".

Thank you very much! We appreciate the kind words. We'll be using Coddiwomple in the future haha

Brazil is destroying the Amazon jungle while Guyana is preserving the Amazon. I think the Brazilians don't realize how important the AMAZON jungle is very important for us to breathe and keep the EARTH cold
@Levi_SemMotoКүн бұрын
@@tashasharma6535 The reality is that the majority of deforestation occurs precisely to meet the demands of wealthy countries. You consume illegal timber, irregularly extracted minerals, and agricultural products from deforested areas. Deforestation, on a large scale, is driven by excessive consumption and the unsustainable demand of developed nations. Just compare the average amount of waste produced by a Latin American annually to that of a citizen from a wealthy country, and it becomes clear who is truly contributing to global warming. While developed nations consume recklessly, fueling a cycle of predatory resource extraction, countries like Brazil bear the environmental and social consequences of these practices. We, Brazilians, along with the rest of Latin America, resent the fact that wealthy countries emit far more pollution, produce staggering amounts of waste, and consume energy unsustainably, yet insist on blaming nations like Brazil for global warming. Meanwhile, companies from these countries continue to purchase illegally extracted resources, financing the destruction of our ecosystems. It is hypocritical to criticize deforestation and environmental degradation without taking responsibility for the excessive consumption that fuels these practices. If you truly want to help the environment, stop buying resources from illegal extraction and stop exporting waste to countries in Africa and other vulnerable regions. Only then will the planet have a chance to breathe. A European or North American citizen pollutes far more than any Latin American or African. Until there is a real change in the consumption and production patterns of wealthy countries, the rhetoric of environmental preservation will remain nothing more than a smokescreen to hide the true source of the problem.

We could have put him down or simply left him be to die but we took him in and gave him his best year of life. One day he was walking around the house and I saw it. He jerked up and his inside ruptured. It was the worst day of my life. I held his paw when we took him to the vet to put him asleep. Hey guys sorry to hear about your bad ending to such an incredible journey. Please don't jump on me for pointing this out. I do not mean to be offensive to either of you. If you look at your videos you can clearly see that the videos with Niki on the the thumbnail got 500k and 900k views respectively (compared to most other videos with like 50k or less views). Obviously, as all of us who watched all of your content know, Niki is very beautiful. If you simply included more of Niki in the videos, and Niki on the thumbnail with or without you, this channel will quick grow exponentially. When I produce content with my wife on the thumb or in the video the videos get more the 50% more views. Of course we just want people to watch for our good content. But getting them to click requires some persuasion when users are flooded with thousands of thumbnails every day.... Anyway, that just my observation based on your view stats and of course my opinion on how to improve the channel. My hope is that you can generate money from the site so you can continue to make more great content and feed your journeys. Good luck! I look forward to your next videos!
