As a Newcastle fan of 29 years, I have to say my favourite players in my heart are...... (1) Shearer (of course) (2) Gillespie (the man was a machine) (3) Ginola (4) Hatem Ben Arfa (I just loved the guy) (5) Cisse (6) Shay Given (best keeper, maybe just before Hislop) (7) Tripps (one of the most professional players we have had, and the beginning of the re-build) (8) Almiron (any player that gives 101% for their team, gets my vote! Love the guy!) (9) A.Gordon (Never thought I'd say this when he joined, but the man gives 101% every game! He is a true inspiration to ANY young player!) (10) Tiote (A young man taken too early, but what a player and a man never to be forgotten to Newcastle fans, especially his goal in the 4-4 comeback against Arsenal! RIP) I could list easily 100 names, but at this moment, these are the top 10 men that come to mind who I love/loved to watch for Newcastle. It was very difficult!

Great list of players! It’s 33 years for me 😱😂 went to my first match when I was 15, standing in the Gallowgate getting rowdy supporting the lads haha and squashed! I loved it ❤🏴🏳️🏴🏳️ if I can’t get to St James’s I always find a way to watch!

We had to, Eddie said we didn't want to sell him. But let's be honest, apart from the very odd moment, he didn't really contribute as much as let's say, Anthony Gordon, a allround much much better package, and Barnes too, we just need him not injured, guy is an absolute beast

On a rare occasion he showed how brilliant he could be, it's a shame it was only 5 games a season. Barnes and especially Gordon are huge upgrades, even you can admit that.

@@XXXTENTAClON227 Maximin had 5 good games a season, had a tendency to get caught out in own half, putting defence under a lot of unnecessary pressure, and that didn't only happen in a few games he was involved. He tried to improve late on, but he struggled adapting to become a better allround player, like Gordon and Barnes definitely are. Maximin had mad skills, we can't deny that, but poor end product, and often very poor vision finding his teammates. I'm not saying this because I didn't like maxi, I would have loved to have him as a part of the squad still.
