Same here. My only Etsy purchases have been this soap and our Cookie don't care shirt. I haven't had any problems with delivery. Rather quickly actually. Way better than Ebay! This soap has really helped with my eczema.

From experience, you cannot imagine the huge difference having electricity in and around the barn will make in your life. I totally understand the idea of “biting the bullet” to have it done. It took me 3 years to finally make the decision. I only wish I had done it earlier. Hopefully prices come down in the upcoming months so it can be done.

Have you thought about some of the portable power stations with extra batteries to run lights and fans? I watch a lot of Alaskan off grid channels and they use the portable power stations for their electric. For some lights and fans, it seems like the portable power stations would provide enough power. They’re pricey but I would think (not sure) that they’d be a lot less costly than hard-wired electric. Just a thought. Sorry that it didn’t work out. Thanks, as always, for your awesome videos.

Hi Shawn. Boy, people who expect it delivered in 5 days have never ordered anything by mail before. Usually you're lucky to get it within 2 weeks unless it's a huge company like Amazon. Was just going to ask the same thing. I see many YT pages using them and they seem to work well. Be easy to charge by solar during the day or run it up to the house to charge on cloudy/stormy days. (I get winter gloom I live in the Northeast).

I've always gotten my soap fast. Etsy has great notifications about when to expect your order. You're really fast shipping the orders. On the funny side my last order the post office sent back and forth between Charlottesville and Richmond several times...they simply love sending some packages on world tours...

We can start a "light me up" fund to cover the electrical if you ever want to go that route.😁💡 My soap order has been sitting at the same post office 2 towns away for 4 days. It's Christmas time and everyone is sending and buying. This year it seems to be taking longer than usual, but it is what it is. I'll just be that much more excited when I receive it.😊🧼

I had an issue with one of my orders 6 months ago or so and Shawn was great at getting it taken care of. It was going back and forth between ohio and michigan. Once he did everything he could and figured out it was lost, he replaced my order. He is great and love his videos on the goats...💜💜💜

Hi Shawn. I don’t know if someone may have suggested this idea for having electricity in the barn. I know some pages use sponsorships to help with getting items for their farms. Have you considered doing this with a company that has portable solar generators, like Jackery, EcoFlow, etc. I’ve seen Shawn, on Keeping it Dutch and Daniel, on Arms Family Homestead, use them. I think this would be a good fit for getting lights, especially, in the barn. It would be portable enough, that it could be moved from stall to stall, during kidding season and if needed for work in the pastures. Just a thought. Love the babies, especially Mr President. ❤️❤️

I had a packaged being mailed to me on Nov 27th- the Friday after Thanksgiving. It finally got to me yesterday, December 10th!. It went from Oregon, to Indianapolis, In to Cincinnati, Oh to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Then it finally came to Illinois, my state, but that still took 4 more days until delivery! It's so important to sign up for those updates from the post office! Then you can watch what the postal service is doing with ones package.

Here's my 2 cents, for what it's worth: You will not regret putting electric to the barn. You WILL regret not doing it. It will increase your property value & resale value (for your 40 year plan) if you can swing it, without putting too much stress or pressure on yourself, get it done & out of the way 😊

You can install your own and use a solar powered generator to power the electric in the barn. And the electric won’t be connected to the electric company’s pole so they can’t charge you for it.

I don’t think that you have anything to apologize for, Shawn. I can tell you and everyone else on here what the issue was. You brought the orders to the post office on the 5th, your post office shipped them to the distribution center on the same day (so it was not a delay from your post office) and they didn’t leave out of the Columbus Distribution Center for five days. I’ve never had to wait as long as this but, people have to also understand that it’s the holiday season and there is much more mail, xmas cards and packages being sent. I don’t understand how people don’t know that! I’m not happy that I couldn’t get more peppermint soap in time for my holidays travels but, I’m not going to blame you for it. Although, you did say that you wouldn’t sell out!😜🤣

Even picking an order at Walmart has become a waiting game. I know they’re crazy busy just like the post office. More employees would be good, but that cost more money. Running electric from one house to another is almost as bad as just setting up a new line from a power pole . I know arms family really seems to enjoy their solar powered box that they have and there should be a way to put the solar panels up that would catch light most of the day and it might help you and H out if the power goes out, keep the freezers running. 2025 has hope that life and $s will get easier.

Shawn, what about solar panels? Out here now homes have to be built with solar, our panels have saved us a lot from just using PGE electricity. Solar panels on barn roof? Can store in months like your. Having overcast, but panels also do get solar in overcast. Just wondering if you have checked that or if it is used much there. In last 10 years here companies have popped up so now it’s easier to get lower prices due to competition! Seeing the fluff balls today was heartwarming,,so darn fluffy in winter! Awesome God made animals that way! ❤️🙏🤗✝️. Oh and the shipping issue, my goodness, we order online a lot & right now I’m waiting for a order from Maine, expected time 12-14 days, things coming from overseas, shoot lucky to get in 3-4wks! Ordering Etsy to you to USPS to me I would think 10-12 days. The generation is now, now, a lot of people expect the overnight thing,,only if you have a distributor in every state!!

He can wire a breaker box to a solar generator like the jackery and wire all the things like outlets, lights, switches and everything to the breaker box which can be powered by the solar generator . And have a second one in the house charging for when he needs to switch the one out so he can charge that one.

We have a huge problem here with copper thieves. A few years ago when I was driving a minivan I even had someone cut the catalytic converter off my van. Those kind of crimes go in waves around here. The police department has a service now once a year where you can go get your catalytic converter marked so that if it is ever cut off the scrap guys will know it’s a stolen one. It is really weeding out the good scrap dealers from the thieves. I’m sorry it is so frustrating when you have to make those kind of choices, but maybe something else will pop up that is a better option. They are always coming up with new things.

Shawn, would it be possible to get a parts list from your electrician and buy your supplies yourself for less, then have him do the work? Quite often, you're paying a huge markup for parts when they supply the parts. Just a thought...or negotiate the cost of the supplies with him after researching the prices. I'm so sorry that people are being nasty with you. I pray that whatever is going on in their life will change so that they will stop taking it out on you and others.

I've never seen anybody that determined to do the right thing and more for their customers.....honestly.....you make sure your product is the very best and you ship immediately and everyone knows it......there is just so many now a days that think everything is about them and that they should be treated better than royalty!!! Their lack of gratitude and patience in every day situations I find mind-boggling. There is a point whereby there can be issues with people selling their products but I suspect 5 days by postal service across the Country during the Christmas season to me is totally unreasonable!! I think it is one of the worst things ever done to the Canadian public at large and neither side cares. And I bet if most people could avoid using Canada Post in the future they would...... its even affecting you guys!! 😢😢 Sorry for the rant!! I just think of the seniors and the little ones and what the workers are already getting for wages and benefits, far above lots of people!! Anyway enough of that......I love the goats!
