Its funny how I came across ghis video. I remember watching this as a 19 yr old thinking.... I gotta have one of those one day. Hear I am, 6 yrs later, enjoying the FUCK outta that 6.0. Just finished some suspension work, Got a clutch kit coming and getting cnc ported heads for it soon.

Oh damn! Looks like everyone else loved the car at 2:40 too since I now see that it won! I'd really love to know what setup he's running. From what I've researched it sounds like a Spintech. Those are the only ones I've found that give such a smooth sound.

Keep in mind you're watching it on a video at the mercy of the camera quality. Sometimes in person they'll have a sweet bass growl that isn't picked up. It works both ways though, some cars sound even worse in person haha

Always go by the rear bumper and the hood actually. A LOT of 04s, including mine, have bumper cutouts and have been converted to duals so it's hard to tell. The 05-06s still have the embossed "GTO" on the rear bumper though. But of course, any 04 owner could simply buy an 06 hood and rear bumper and nobody would know the difference.

Yeah there's also "5.7" badges on the 04s while the 05-06 have a "6.0" badge. Of course you could always debadge but most people don't get that in-depth.

That, my friend, is called rasp. The same thing you hear on riced out hondas. Trust me, the "car-modifying" world is still trying to figure out how to totally get rid of it, but its not an easy sound to get around when you have a free-flowing exhaust.

you see the cars rolling back, because its on a small incline. Cars sound amazing. Def the white and the car with the blue tape sounded the best. The rest were too raspy. Its good but not great.

You can always tell what year is by the pipe count. if its dual tip or single tip only on one side its 04. if its dual its most likely 05-06

Uhh well if it's an automatic you just throw it in neutral and hit the gas to rev the engine. If it's standard you can either put it in neutral and hit the gas or simply push the clutch in then hit the gas.

You seem to lack some common sense or common knowledge in this scene, that shit is done by some guys who do not want to get their paint chipped or scratched by small debris when racing at events, mostly where there's a track. It only damages the tape, or at least it doesn't get the paint that badly, hence the ridiculous tape job
