So true. At the very least he saved him from a permanent disability. Bruce Lee once took it all the way to the end on the same sort of arrogant guy. He wrecked the guy and his Brother later came after Bruce, saying "my brother talks funny, can't walk properly and is dumb now". "Bringing our family shame, and disrespect". Many a person has foolishly thought they could take on the real deal and it changed their life for the worse forever.

The man was a student of the sport. He kept perfecting his own techniques in relation to his opponents. To everyone else he just looked like a mauler, but he strategised before & during the fight. Staying inside with a much bigger guy seems crazy, but he compacted his blows with his body weight behind it, while the bigger guys were all arms.

@@someonerandom6818 He is half-right. Untrained Mike Tyson would most likely break his hand trying to hit somebody on the chin with full force bare knuckles but bare knuckle fighters learn to punch in a different way, so they don't break their hands. If Tyson was a bare knuckle fighter, he would know how to punch without breaking his hand. Also where is this myth coming from that you punch harder without the gloves? It's not the case at all, if anything the weight and the surface area of the glove makes the impact of the force much harder on the opponents face. Gloves mainly exist because wrapped hands and bare knuckle boxing has a lot of stoppages due to cuts, fights are also alot shorter.

Quite the amount of glazing here, I love Iron Mike too with my entire heart but, Mike Tyson cannot win all the time, he took two losses to Holyfield (you don't fuck up twice) But while Tyson may not have won then, he did win in the long term as one of the most well known boxers even outside of boxing, whilst Holyfield you would have to be at least into boxing a little bit to know about him (DON'T GET IT TWISTED HE IS NOT A SMALL NAME) Mike's is just obviously bigger but I know one thing, Holyfield's got the heat to melt Iron. TL;DR: Tyson = lose to Holyfield twice, Holyfield not lose once, Holyfield better than Mike? I don't know you could say that but I'm pretty neutral on that, and I can confidently say Holyfield has the formula to bypass Mike down.

Tyson himself has said he's no longer the animal he was in his youth. He said he cares too much about his family, etc. When he was young he didn't care about anything. The Jake Paul thing was not rigged. It's a crime to rig boxing fights. Mike was simply too old and cared too much.

@@joes.4149 I hate to admit it, but you're right. For example, Holyfield would have toyed with Vitor Belfort before knocking him out in the first round...when he was in his prime. I rarely bet, but I made money off of that fight. And I'll make money off of the Tyson Paul fight, too. Who would have won in their prime, Tyson or Paul? (That last sentence was my attempt at humor.)

I was a friend of Carl The Truth Williams before all the fame. In his 17th professional fight, he clearly beat Larry Holmes. He mentioned to me without names , he had boxed with a really strong kid. Turns out that was Mike Tyson. Go watch his fights. He was a great fighter. He passed away from cancer about ten years ago. Personally, I always thought the fight with Tyson was stopped too quickly.
