there is a small problem, the win and loss column are trades that still occur and was a win or loss in the backtest, but do not hit the TP or SL goal, and another thing is that the support and resistance are backpainted, i dont know what it means but it can maybe invalidate some of this numbers.

Thank you so much for this. Appreciate. It would be amazing if you could do a second video on this to explain a bit more. Could not understand why, when I used HTF: 4H & Mult: 7, 20/10 W% : L%, on NEAR, the SL hit was so vastly different from the Losses column? 365 Losses but only 8 SL hits in the Bullish Breakout row.

In the description is written of the indicator: Do note that previous high/low levels are subject to backpainting, that is they are drawn retrospectively in their corresponding location. Other elements in the script are not subject to backpainting.

It does not make sense to only pay attention to stop loss vs tp hit because you are ignoring the chop where you are getting in and out of trades for a loss due to a reverse signal but not a full stop loss.

So do you think you would also need the wins to be closer to the losses or its just too hard to tell depending on the reversal signal?

@@shanedignan1067 You can look at the SL hit vs TP hit as full profit or draw down. Then subtract the TP hit vs SL hit from the wins vs losses because you have already accounted for them in your cumulative P&L. Now with the remaining losses vs wins you can either look back historically and see how much loss was taken or profit was made on each trade or you can create an estimate by calculating the max loss vs max profit you could have sustained in those wins and losses and get an estimate.
